Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Our owlet dream sock is a must have!! It works so good and has put us at ease every night since having our son. It is expensive but so worth the money! It tracks their sleep in three different phases. Active or awake, light sleep, or deep sleep. It tracks their oxygen saturation along with their heart rate. We have had a couple times that his oxygen has gone down and it has alarmed. I am a very deep sleeper and the alarm is loud enough to wake me up. They send you two different sized socks and they are slightly stretchy and fit so good! We have used ours everyday for the last year and it still works like a champ. Super durable and soft fabric.
Customer Review: Life Saver. I brought my son home from the NICU and this helped me feel better throughout the nights. Love the ability to watch heart rate and oxygen. Battery lasts a long time and it’s easy to use

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This pulse ox provides continuous data on oxygen saturation and heart rate. It vibrates and/or beeps if your heart rate and /or o2 sat fall outside of customized ranges. This has helped me a lot as I have o2 dips at night when I sleep. This device helps me because when it vibrates, it reminds me to turn over into a better position so that I can breathe better. I really like the design. It is easy to use. It has great functionality as it syncs with the phone and keeps the data over time so it can be shown to the doctor. It seems to be very durable. It is also an excellent value for the money. It is less than a dollar a day if used over a year, and helps monitor your vitals. I am grateful for this product. I have worn it during a sleep study and the readings are accurate.
Customer Review: This review is for the Wellue Checkme, based on several weeks of use. I purchased this because of an occasional breathing issue that my CPAP doesn’t help with. I will update this review in a few months, after I learn more about my issues, and this device. Please note, the CheckMe is NOT a medical device. But it is the right product for my needs. The CheckMe sensor has helped me learn more about my issue, giving me useful, customizable data. It also seems to help prevent my worst issues with its unobtrusive vibrating alarm. On the first night, I had set the vibrating alarm threshold to be too sensitive, so it went off too many times. The frequent waking, constant switching to “voluntary breathing”; and perhaps my own panic about low oxygen, seems to caused me to have more frequent breathing problems. It was a rough night. But I would call that a user error. When I lowered the threshold to 88% , that issue were completely resolved. The device and app are linked via bluetooth, and the app allows me to view and export my data. I like that it gives me a simple score for my night’s oxygen levels. The app keeps a running history of my data which I can view in detail. The app is very good. It allows data to be exported as PDF, CSV (spreadsheet), Binary, or images.I’m very happy with this purchase. Worth every penny to me.

Customer Review: I love the Sense – U Smart sockIt give me a peace a mind while your lil one rest up (sleep)
Customer Review: As we get ready to welcome a new baby in our family, we have been searching for essential items that will keep the baby safe and healthy. This innovative device caught my attention because it works just like a medical-grade oxygen saturation monitor combined with a heart rate monitor, but it’s even better because it is completely wireless. Not only that, it also tracks the baby’s sleep patterns! I am a retired nurse who worked in pediatrics and the neonatal ICU, and I had never seen such a wonderful device. It has an app in which you can see real-time O2 sat and heart rate readings, and it will send you alerts if anything is abnormal. This an absolute must-vae for new parents, and for grandparents as well. Since baby has not arrived yet, I tested this device by wrapping it around my big toe while wearing my regular O2 sat sensor on my finger, and the readings were accurate. The reusable “sock” is made of soft fabric that is flexible and adjusts to the body’s shape and is secured by a velcro strap. Although pricey, this product will give us so much peace of mind when watching the baby overnight, and that is definitely worth it.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I HIGHLY recommend all parents have this device. We’ve used Owlet for all of our 4 kids, and it has been a total lifesaver for peace of mind. Recently, our 6-month-old became very sick. The Owlet critically alerted to her heart rate in the 225s after just waking and not crying. Seeing the alerts and verifying this wasn’t a glitch, we rushed her to the ER where she was admitted. Without it, we might not have realized how seriously her health was declining. The Owlet’s early warning gave us the chance to act fast. I honestly can’t imagine what could have happened if we hadn’t been aware. We were also able to look back at her heart rate history throughout the night and could see it trending upwards two hours before she hit dangerous levels. While the device isn’t perfect, sometimes the connection is glitchy or camera load times are slow, knowing our baby’s breathing and heart rate are being monitored gives peace of mind that is absolutely priceless. Every parent of a young baby should have one.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: We had an 8lb Newborn with no complications. Used this for the first couple weeks, especially at night once we got the hang of it. The felt type sock was a little loose for her tiny foot but I made it work. Definalty gave me the peace of mind I was looking for. Easily tells the sleep position, heart beat and room temp. The ad said it tells the O2 level but that feature may be turned off by the company right now (Jan 2026). Also the app was easy to use, share with family members and set up! Over all could not be happier. The price was very expensive for us, so while this is not a must have device for a new baby, if you can afford it & you are on the fence my opinion… get it.#1 I am not a first time parent but this device definitely helped me sleep more soundly. Knowing there was something more watching the baby than just me jumping up out of my sleep in a panic to look at her or a camera.#2 We don’t use every night any more but may use for babysitters or when I am busier around the house.
Customer Review: I bought this for my daughter and granddaughter. It fits well and provides an extra layer of security that all is well. It came with different size socks to fit through growth and they seem to be comfortable and not bother her sensitive skin. Great product, highly recommend!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: We love this for our child with disabilities and seizures helps us know if she stops breathing at night . This device helps me get more sleep then without it and very easy to use
Customer Review: This monitor gives me peace of mind at night when my baby is sleeping and I can’t monitor them. I like that it gives alerts for temp, breathing and if they have rolled over or not. The inital set up process was a little confusing since it didn’t seem to want to pair right away no matter how many times I pressed the button (honestly could just be user error since i’m tired from being a new mom) but once it was set up, you just clip it on and bam you are getting monitoring. I can’t say how accurate the breathing monitor is, but it will alert if it decects no movement and the alert on the monitor itself and on your phone are pretty loud and won’t stop until you ackowledge them giving further peace of mind.my only complaint is middle of the night diaper changes – if you aren’t quick enough the alert will trigger. Which I know you can just turn the monitor off and then on again. Just something to keep in mind.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: The app works very well, we have experienced no glitches at all. The beeping sound is loud enough to hear, but “soft” enough that it can just give the back of your mind that peace that you are monitoring your baby. It is not a disruptive beep. The soft beeping sound as you sleep is more like a gentle reassurance to your subconscious that your baby is ok as you get whatever sleep you can between feedings. It is oddly relaxing to a nervous parent, when you SHOULD be relaxing. For when you need to wake up and take action, the vibration and alert goes off as expected when you remove the device and forget to shut it off, so it is definitely loud enough that it would wake a baby and parent if ever needed. The verbal notification is good too-persistent and demanding enough to get your attention, but it is not annoying as you would expect something like that to be. It’s only going to go off unnecessarily if you remove the device and forget to shut it off. It only takes a second to dismiss the alert and finish dressing baby or changing diaper. This is great for any parent who room shares (if you want to be in a separate room you will need the base station which I do not have), anyone who really needs the portability, for example of you frequently stay at hotels, you just clip the monitor on the baby and turn the app on-no complicated set up with cameras and wires and under mattress sensors. This can be used anywhere that you set baby down, as long as it is not something that moves (like swing or car seat). In that case you get temp alerts but you cannot assume the abdominal movements as the device is sensing the movement of the swing or car.Overall, this is a great, simple monitor that provides just what I need for peace of mind. I’m not looking for oxygen levels and heart rates, sleep data, etc…I really just want to not be getting up super frequently because of my paranoid need to check to see if baby is breathing and still on her back. I use it extensively. This monitor has given me exactly that-it’s letting me sleep better and “checking” for me that she’s ok. Thank you so much for such a great product for nervous parents like me!The
Customer Review: My baby was a NICU baby delayed coming home due to breathing apneas, so a monitor for breathing was critical for me. I received a Nanit and I purchased and Owlet. If your concern is whether or not your baby is alive, breathing, and safe – this is the monitor for you. I was so surprised as I bought this one on a whim, but it has been my lifesaver and peace of mind. This is the easiest one to use. Nanit is hard because the band is unsafe to use unless your baby sleeps with arms free – not right for a neonate with startle reflex. The owlet sock only has 15 hours of battery life, and there is always a risk of it getting dirty when you change the child’s diaper. Plus, it doesn’t mention breathing – just heart and oxygen. Neither of these are as good at also tracking if your baby is in a safe position for sleep (on back). Owlet cannot do that at all. And it is the only one getting a close reading of baby’s temperature – something I didn’t even know to worry about until he got home. And the Sense-U came to save me again. This is easy to use – clip it on the diaper. Its battery lasts FOR DAYS. When Nanit can only help you at night and Owlet can only help you so long, this thing laps them with days and days of battery life. You could travel overnight or 2-3 nights no charger and use it all day. It is also the only one I could take in the car with me when I cannot see my baby. All I needed to do was glance at my phone and see he is breathing and not overheating.Finally- in the NICU when baby has apnea, we go stimulate the baby to remind them to breathe. No other monitor will stim the baby for you – but this one does. It is not a replacement for your stim or supervision, but this one vibrates and beeps right at the baby’s navel if breathing becomes a concern. Imagine if – god forbid – you didn’t hear an alert. Well Sense-U is going to go off with a little stim for you immediately (before you can ever get there once you heard the alarm). Plus- you don’t need to go appease a base station (Owlet). This was the best sensor I bought and the one I use the most despite it never receiving the hype of competitors. If you want to know sleep quality or heart rate, get an owlet. If you want a great integrated monitor experience and your baby is sleeping arms free, get a Nanit. But if you want to enhance your monitoring of knowing baby is safe and alive – get a Sense-U.

Customer Review: Initially we used this sock to keep an eye on our baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels which brought us a lot of peace of mind and eased our new parent nerves at bedtime. After several months and still using it, we tend to use the sock more to track sleep cycles than oxygen. I highly recommend this to new parents!!!Good reviews: long battery life in the sock and it recharges so fast! The picture quality on the camera is pretty good! The camera and the sock were easy to set up. There are multiple fabrics for the sock included, so when baby grows you don’t have to buy a new sock!Bad reviews: the app is pretty lousy considering how much you have to pay for this monitoring system (the App itself is free though). 9 times out of 10 we have to open the app and close it and then open it again in order to refresh the data and get up to date information on our sleeping baby. Lots of glitches on the app but definitely still usable, you just need patience sometimes! Also, you have to clean the sock pretty frequently otherwise it will smell really bad like feet and give your baby’s precious soft feet a stinky foot smell too.
Customer Review: As a busy parent juggling work and life, the Owlet Dream Duo has been an absolute game-changer for our household. From the moment we set it up, it provided the peace of mind we didn’t know we needed. What I Love:✅ Crystal-Clear Monitoring – The camera quality is excellent, with a sharp night vision mode that lets us check in on our little one without disturbing them. The app is user-friendly and easy to navigate.✅ Sleep Tracking & Insights – The sleep tracking feature is a huge bonus! It gives us detailed insights into our baby’s sleep patterns, helping us adjust bedtime routines accordingly.✅ Reliable Sock Sensor – The Dream Sock is the highlight! It gently tracks our baby’s sleep trends, and while it doesn’t provide real-time oxygen or heart rate monitoring like the older versions, it still offers valuable data that helps us ensure restful nights. Plus, it’s soft and comfortable, and our baby barely notices it.✅ Great App Integration – The Owlet app makes everything seamless. I love how I can monitor everything in real time from my phone, whether I’m in the next room or at work.Minor Considerations:🔹 Pricey, but worth it – It’s definitely an investment, but the quality and peace of mind are priceless.🔹 WiFi Dependence – Since it runs on WiFi, any internet hiccup can momentarily disrupt access. Not a deal-breaker, but worth noting.Final Verdict:If you’re a parent looking for an extra set of eyes and reassurance, the Owlet Dream Duo is 100% worth it. It helps us rest easier at night knowing we have insights into our baby’s sleep, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything!Highly recommend for any new or expecting parents. Five stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Complete Buying Guide for Best Infant Oxygen Monitor
Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing the best infant oxygen monitor, several factors are crucial for ensuring both your baby’s safety and your peace of mind. First and foremost, look for monitors that are accurate and reliable in their readings of oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate. Consider devices that have received any relevant certifications or clearances, such as FDA clearance for healthy infants, if applicable to the product type. The method of attachment is also important; socks, clip-ons, and wraps each have their pros and cons regarding comfort, fit, and ease of use. You’ll want something that stays securely in place without irritating your baby’s delicate skin. Furthermore, check the alert system: does it offer both audible and visual notifications? Are the alert thresholds customizable? A good system should notify you promptly if readings fall outside safe parameters. Battery life is another practical consideration, especially for continuous overnight monitoring. Longer battery life means less frequent charging and fewer interruptions. Finally, evaluate the accompanying app or display unit. Is it user-friendly? Does it provide historical data and insights into sleep patterns? The easier it is to understand the data, the more valuable the monitor will be to you.
Budget Planning
Investing in an infant oxygen monitor is a significant decision, and prices can vary widely depending on features and brand. Basic pulse oximeters might be more affordable, while comprehensive systems that combine oxygen tracking with video monitoring, like many baby monitors with camera bundles, will naturally be at the higher end. When planning your budget, consider what features are absolute necessities for your family. If you only need oxygen and heart rate tracking, a standalone sock or wrist monitor might suffice. If you desire video, sleep analytics, and remote access, a bundled system will be more appropriate but also more expensive. Remember that some brands may also offer subscription services for advanced data insights or extended warranties, which could add to the overall cost. Weigh the cost against the peace of mind and functionalities offered to determine the best value for your family.
Final Thoughts
Choosing an infant oxygen monitor is a deeply personal decision, driven by your specific needs and concerns. These monitors are incredible tools that can provide reassuring data and timely alerts, helping alleviate some of the anxieties that come with parenthood. While they offer an extra layer of vigilance, it’s always important to remember that they are monitoring devices and not medical treatment. Always consult with your pediatrician for medical advice and interpretation of any readings. By carefully considering the features, accuracy, and ease of use, you can find a monitor that seamlessly integrates into your routine, allowing you and your baby to rest a little easier.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is an infant oxygen monitor and how does it work?
A: An infant oxygen monitor is a device designed to continuously track your baby’s vital signs, primarily their oxygen saturation (SpO2) levels and heart rate. Most models use pulse oximetry, which involves a small sensor (often integrated into a sock or clip) that shines light through the skin to measure the amount of oxygen in the blood and the pulse. This data is then transmitted to a base station or a smartphone app, providing real-time readings and alerts if levels fall outside a safe range.
Q: Are infant oxygen monitors safe to use?
A: Yes, generally, infant oxygen monitors are considered safe for healthy infants when used according to manufacturer guidelines. Many reputable brands undergo rigorous testing and some even obtain FDA clearance, indicating they meet specific safety and accuracy standards for healthy infants. It’s important to choose a monitor made with soft, non-irritating materials and to ensure it fits properly to avoid any discomfort or skin issues. Always follow the product’s instructions and consult your pediatrician if you have any concerns or if your baby has underlying health conditions.
Q: Can an infant oxygen monitor prevent SIDS?
A: No, an infant oxygen monitor is not designed to prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). While these monitors can alert parents to drops in oxygen levels or heart rate, they are monitoring devices, not medical interventions. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends safe sleep practices, such as placing infants on their backs to sleep, using a firm sleep surface, and keeping the crib free of loose bedding, as the most effective ways to reduce the risk of SIDS. Always prioritize safe sleep guidelines above reliance on monitoring devices.
Q: What’s the difference between an infant oxygen monitor and a breathing monitor?
A: An infant oxygen monitor specifically measures the percentage of oxygen in your baby’s blood (SpO2) and their heart rate. A breathing monitor for baby, on the other hand, typically tracks abdominal movement or pauses in breathing using sensors placed under the mattress or clipped to the diaper. While some oxygen monitors may indirectly indicate breathing issues through changes in oxygen or heart rate, a dedicated breathing monitor focuses directly on respiratory effort. Some comprehensive baby monitors offer both functionalities in one system.
Q: How do I choose the best infant oxygen monitor for my baby?
A: To choose the best infant oxygen monitor, consider several factors: accuracy and reliability (look for certifications like FDA clearance for healthy infants), comfort and fit (sock vs. clip), alert system (audible, visual, customizable thresholds), battery life, and app functionality (real-time data, historical trends, user-friendliness). Also, think about whether you need a standalone oxygen monitor or a bundled system that includes video monitoring. Reading customer reviews and consulting with your pediatrician for personalized advice is also highly recommended.
Choosing the right infant oxygen monitor can genuinely transform your parenting journey, offering a powerful tool for reassurance and insight into your baby’s health.
