I was wrong. 30 gallons of water later and it still taste bad. If not worse. Taste like an old freezer even though the water was just put in the dispenser. Put vinegar through it without change. Any other suggestions out there? 9 months of bad tasting water now it no longer makes ice or has cold water. For the price i thought i would be getting a good product but all i got instead was nasty tasting water and a lot of grief from my girlfriend. I filled it with drinking water and put it in the van the night before my trip. When I went out the next morning, about a fourth of the water had leaked out. I was pretty upset, but then I realized it was operator error. I had not fully tightened the fill opening. After tightening it, I’ve had no issues. The spouts works and now on day four – no leaks. I’m pleased.”

I bought the 2-pitcher set, intended to give one to my elderly mom. Unfortunately, the lid requires a bit of “oomph” to screw on/off. There’s no way my elderly mom could get the lid on/off. But, it works perfectly for my needs. Following the instructions to start with the lid spout pointing OUT/away from the pitcher, the lid screws on very securely with absolutely no leakage.”

Customer Review: “I purchased item after reading others reviews. It seems there are more than a few complaints about the spigot leaking and I think I understand why. In my case anyway, the spigot came pre-installed. Upon examination it appears loose as I could rotate it fairly easily. As I tightened the nut from inside I noticed the nut was pushing itself into the convex silicone washer so I removed the spigot to get a better understanding. In the picture the inside of the spigot shows the nut, and then a stainless steel convex collar. I assumed the convex washer is underneath this washer against the glass. The outside was correctly assembled with a silicone washer against the glass, and then the spigot. So, in my case the spigot was assembled Nut, washer, convex metal trim/Glass/washer, spigot. In this configuration it will most likely leak, and if tightening the nut in attempt to seal it would then eventually crack the glass. It should be nut, convex metal trim, convex washer/glass/washer, spigot. The decanter itself looks pleasing, and the spigot is easy to open/close and doesn’t leak or drip. Of course it will drip a bit after closing the spigot, but then stays dry. The cap has small air slots to allow the liquid to flow freely. The size is perfect being 4″ square, and doesn’t take up too much space in the fridge.”
