Customer Review: “We really like this GE 1050w Microwave Oven. We choose it because it have a comprhensive set of cooking features and and seemed to offer substantial value at that price point. It’s a nice compact size but quite powerful, easy to use control panel and the Air Fry function was an extra benefit and works well too. Our last Japanese brand microwave oven last almost 20 years so hopefully the product reliability will be there for the GE one. I would have like to have a more detailed user manual included with the product. We’ve only been a it for a little over a month and I plan to provide a more detailed review in the future.”

Customer Review: “Admit, I bought this oven primarily for its size, but am finding its versatility impressive. The, “combi,” mode, in particular, makes for the best mixed vegetable dishes. I cook raw, cut up, seasoned and olive oil spritzed root veggies for twelve minutes, then add frozen vegetables to the same glass roasting pan, spritz once more, toss and cook for another twelve to fourteen minutes and they’re delicious. The air fry mode works well, too. The oven is quiet, and the lights are not annoyingly bright. Am finding the buttons easy to read even for my older eyes (I don’t cook in the dark) and the hot oven warning beep stops immediately upon pushing the, “cancel/off,” button. Looks nice on the counter, too. Overall, consider it a fabulous value and a fine replacement for my microwave. Am thoroughly enjoying this new oven.”

The size, wattage, ease of operation, price, and look checked all of the boxes for me. We’ve had a built-in GE microwave for over 15 years that never needed servicing up until now, which speaks of the quality and durability of their machines. It’s also quite powerful, so be careful when you first get this thing. What used to take 2:00 minutes will now happen in about 45 seconds… It is pretty quiet. It’s a bit heavy. The option to turn off the child lock is quite simple… As far as durability goes, it’s been working well for me for over a month. Durability I cannot speak on until I’ve had it longer, but in my experience in life, if something electronic works when you plug it in, it will most likely last for a long time. Like 10 years or so in my experience. the value is decent considering how large and powerful it is.”

Customer Review: “My family started using Microwave ovens in the late 1970’s they were enormous back then but they were powerful and did a good job…After repairing this minor Issue, the Microwave works better than any I have ever used. Coffee & tea perfectly hot within 1 minute and I like mine HOT. Cook times are greatly reduced and the cooking is more even. Defrost by weight works perfectly, amazingly so. The feature to turn off the chimes is priceless no more stupid loud dinging when starting and finishing a cook cycle. When you turn off the noise however the kitchen timer also does not make noise. The microwave is also extremely quiet when running. All in all I am very pleased with this Microwave and hope what I experienced was just a one off, otherwise Toshiba had better get there Quality Control act together or there are going to be allot of returns for a very simple issue that should never have been permitted to leave the factory.”

Customer Review: “This microwave finally a solid device with great features for home use. Forced into using Panasonic for prior microwave ovens and they were terrible and sounded like a tin can with a jet engine inside and they would ultimately fail if you tried to cook something in them beyond 4 minutes. This Toshiba is like a Lexus compared to a cheap compact car. Even the door shuts nicely just like a higher end car. When it is running at times I have to confirm it is actually on because it is so quiet. I have never seen a microwave that is that quiet. The controls are fairly intuitive although there is always a learning curve on new devices like these… And the power of it is amazing. We had to relearn what times to use for various foods because this device will turn things to molten lava on the settings from prior microwaves with the same output wattage. A good problem to have after some minor adjustments… This one is a keeper.”
