These pads are WONDERFUL! At first blush you might think they are expensive but just think about this: a pack of disposable pads are about $16 and after one use – each one has to be thrown away. Disposable pads leak on the side – these NEVER DO!! We had just about given up hope. We were washing bed clothes several times a week but since getting these pads we’ve had NO accident where the bed clothes were affected. These pads wash up easily, dry quickly & after several washings they still maintain their shape – like new! We ordered 3 of these to make sure we have enough. They stay in place, even on a comforter surface!! If turned with length going from left to right on the mattress, It comes within 4 inches on each side and is about 1/3 (or more) in covering our queen size mattress. 2 of them pretty much cover the bed. These work beautifully and since they are guaranteed for life – we will definitely be using them from now on!UPDATE: 07-13-2018 We have now ordered 7 of these pads. They are FANTASTIC!!! They not only act as a barrier between our boxer (who sometimes is incontinent) and our mattress but 2 of the fit our queen size bed so dog nails don’t puncture or otherwise damage our comforters/quilts/bed spreads. Again – you may think they are expensive but we have found them well worth the money. Customer Review: “I bought a couple of different styles of mattress protector/piddle pad for a kid who were the bed, and this is the one I came back to buy additional of. (One to wash; one to “wear”.) The top is soft. The bottom is a little grabby so it doesn’t slide around too much. It’s also thick and heavy enough that it doesn’t usually crumple underneath someone. This isn’t going to keep someone from feeling the wetness, but it will absorb the pee without leaking through. The size is good to cover the risk area in a kids bed and I would’ve liked having these when my kids were babies in cribs. This is much better than that flannely thing that they sell for cribs. This washes up fine, but does take extra time to dry. We wash and dry in a regular load, but usually take the rest of the clothes out and run this on its own for an extra dry cycle. Oh!! And this was really important to me…it is NOT crunchy when one moves.”

I was using disposable pads with towels on top. That worked, but I was washing towels and throwing out pads twice a day. After going through 140 disposable pads, I decided to try these. They are completely absorbent. No wetness underneath. Because they have two layers, they’re slightly heavy, so they stay in place on my dog’s sleeping mat. I wash them in warm water and hang over my ironing board to dry. They’re dry within a few hours. I’ve only been using them for a week so I can’t report on durability, but they’re holding their shape and the fabric is smooth and not pilling. Totally worth the money.This might gross some people out, but I think they’re somewhat resistant to poop too. When I pick up her poop with a paper towel, I don’t see a poop stain or residue. It was completely different with paper pads and towels. The pad is white but I can’t even tell she pooped on it. So, unless she pees on it too, I wait to wash it another day. I’m aware that’s not sanitary but if it doesn’t smell or show any residue, it saves me from constant washing. Occasionally, she’ll have a loose poop and I’ll wash it immediately. I would say the size I got is meant for one adult, there are bigger sizes that are meant for larger people or two across. I do not tuck this under my mattress to the box spring. There is no need it doesn’t slip nor move when I do during the night. They was nicely and do not hold a plastic smell or rubber smell as some of them do that are made by other companies. I ordered these pad hoping they would arrive as soon and they could and I was not disappointed. The pads were sitting on my front porch in a day and a half. I’m sure they would have come sooner if I had not waited until the last minute to order them and late in the evening. If I had to order them again I would get a wider size. I think the protection would be better when sleeping. So far I have not have to clean them because he has not soiled them. The color of the pads was as expected although at this point I couldn’t care less how attractive they are as long as they do the job. Will be ordering more. This will only get worse and these pad will be a treasured item when needed.”
