Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I upgraded from my single cam VTECH setup to this dual cam one when I had my second baby. I love that I can use either the handheld monitor or my phone, and switch between direct connection or WiFi as desired. Picture quality is great, settings for the app and the handheld are great. Setup is really straightforward. The only hiccup I’ve ever come across is just needing to power cycle the cameras sometimes as they’ll disconnect via WiFi sometimes.Photos reflect picture quality seen in-app. Camera is roughly 3ft above the top of the crib and bassinet, mounted to the wall.

Customer Review: I want to love this monitor so bad but it truly has been an issue since we got it. I’ve had this monitor for 15 months now. The kick stand of the monitor is very flimsy and that broke within the first couple of months. Also the charging port is not USB-c like advertised. I liked that it would have had the same charging cord as everything else in our house. And now, all of a sudden this week, the monitor will not stay connected to the camera (and yes I am in range). The monitor has started disconnecting in the middle of the night and by morning it’s not working anything. If I unplug the camera and plug it back in it will reconnect. I have tried both cameras and it is doing the same thing. VTECH customer service is less than helpful and I am stuff at this point in what to do. This monitor seems to be the best option, but for the money I expect better.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I purchased the two camera system for our grand kids when the sleep over at our house. Our granddaughter has epilepsy so having the high resolution display is very comforting knowing we can easily seem if she has an episode. Also, I was in communication with Kokit and found them excellent to work with. They were very expeditious in answering my questions and nice to work with. I highly recommend this system – even my daughter and son-in-law were amazed at the quality and are likely going to upgrade to the Kokit system as well.

Customer Review: Purchased this so that we could see our newest baby (3 months) and still have eyes on our toddler (2 years old). Our toddler likes to be spoken to over the camera to get settled sometime so that was important to us.The screen is REALLY big! You can adjust it to show one camera or two, which is great! Sound quality is perfect! Extremely easy set up, plug in and go. Haven’t experienced any lag and we’ve had it for a month now. 10/10 recommend!

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I love these cameras they work so well for me! I don’t have babies but I have spoiled puppies with separation anxiety. I needed cameras that could work throughout the house, included two way audio, and easy to give access to other family members. The setup was extremely easy, I did it myself in just 15-20mins. The longest part of the process was simply figuring out where I wanted these cameras to go. The package came with everything I’d possibly need from installing, mounting, and info regarding customer service if need be.The monitor works well and would be perfect for those using it with children. It includes temperature, humidity and even has settings where you could turn on feeding care and reminders. Since I’m using it for my dogs I just set it up with reminders for when my dogs need to be fed. There is even a setting to turn on lullabies. There are several option and you can even control the volume of it.The app itself is really easy to use. It shows clear instructions on how to add your cameras. Once you add them you can create a family space where you’ll add family members. From there you can even determine how much control you want to give all members. They can have complete access to move and change settings or view only. The app also shows me a calendar where I can view screengrabs from every time the cameras had an alert. Lastly it allows you to control and view the cameras from anywhere. I went on vacation and had no issues viewing, operating and speaking to my dogs through the app.The camera itself is great quality I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks now and have had no issues with the cameras malfunctioning or not working with the monitor. Only issue is you cannot go extremely far from where the camera are placed or it will lose connection. That hasn’t been an issue with me and doubt it would be for anyone unless their home is extremely big or you expect to use the monitor while outside your home.Overall it’s just been absolutely perfect for me and my needs. Over time I will update if my rating changes or issues arise with the camera.

Customer Review: Pros: it is very easy to set up and pair the camera with the app on phone, or the display screen. The voice and sound functions are very well heard. Picture quality is a bit blurry on the display screen ,but on the phone app, it is very clear. Connectivity is strong. There are a lot of options in the setting if you want to be specific. I’m very pleased with the product so far.Cons: The camera only works with 2.4GHz wifi. It is also does not have charging function so the camera have to be plugged in 24/7, and the power cord is quite short imo, so there is limited options where you can place the camera for best results depending on the layout of your room/house. There was no power off button on the camera itself, so the only way to turn it off is by unplugging the power cord, which I found very inconvenientIn conclusion: I think it is a very good product despite the small cons. The price is pretty decent for a security camera, and it was a plus for me when it was on sale for nearly 50% off.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I had this monitor for nearly 2 years! It worked wonderfully. Changed screens back-and-forth on its own. I felt like I had a good visual. Definitely just something good to make sure everything was okay through the night with my babies. They were in separate rooms and I could see both of them. I was able to rotate the cameras around the room. It didn’t really have any detection or anything like that, but the sound came through clear. Only reason I don’t have it anymore is because the main monitors battery exploded. Thankfully, no damage was done and no fire was started. I did keep it plugged in all the time, and never really moved it. Maybe that’s what caused it to bust. It was a great camera before, but the battery was not good for more than 2 years.

Customer Review: This is a great product for a great price. I love having one screen with 2 cameras. Easy to use and I like the features. You can see both cameras from the same screen, or have it switch between the 2, or have it stay on one. You can adjust the brightness and the sound. Its range is far and I can take it outside. The battery last well and I havnt had any issues in the months ive had it.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This is exactly what I was looking for! I love that it was FSA approved, simple and straightforward to use. I had another monitor that was touchscreen and was honestly super annoying to deal with. The battery life is also great & I love that the screen doesn’t time out. The camera quality isn’t the best, but it’s not bad by any means. I just don’t feel the need to have a monitor with all extra bells and whistles so it’s absolutely perfect for my needs!

Customer Review: We’ve had this monitor now for about 6 months and we love it. The battery life is ok…could be better but honestly it’s not too hard to keep it plugged in most of the time. The camera image is very clear, I love that you can remote control the angle (our last one you couldn’t and now idk that I’ll ever be able to have one that’s not able to do that). We’ve taken it on many trips and the whole set is really durable. My son’s even managed to throw one of the cameras onto our concrete floor and it held up great. I love that it mutes the white noise from his sound machine but then comes on when he cries or even farts lol. That makes it easier for me to sleep to not have ALL the sounds coming through. Signal strength is great. My son’s room is at the back of our house and I often work out in our garage or go outside to do yard work and with the intenna up the signal reaches well. Overall, highly recommend.

Complete Buying Guide for Best Baby Monitor For Twins

Essential Factors We Consider

Choosing the best baby monitor for twins requires a thoughtful approach, as your needs are unique. First and foremost, a dual camera baby monitor with a split screen is non-negotiable. This allows you to view both babies simultaneously without constant switching. Consider the screen size and resolution; a larger, clearer display will make it easier to spot subtle movements. We also look at the connection type: dedicated 2.4GHz FHSS systems offer superior security and are hack-proof, while Wi-Fi monitors provide remote access via a smartphone app. Think about your lifestyle and whether you need to check on your babies from outside the home. Pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) features are crucial for adjusting camera angles remotely, especially as babies move or if you need to monitor a wider area like a playard for twins. Finally, don’t overlook features like night vision, two-way talk, temperature sensors, and battery life, which all contribute to your overall peace of mind and convenience.

Budget Planning

When budgeting for the best baby monitor for twins, you’ll find a wide range of prices. Basic models with dual cameras and a split screen can be quite affordable, often around $100-$150. These typically offer essential features like night vision and two-way talk. Mid-range options ($150-$250) often include larger screens, better resolution, and remote PTZ capabilities. At the higher end ($250+), you’ll find monitors with advanced features like Wi-Fi connectivity, higher definition cameras (2K/3MP), AI detection, and extended battery life. Remember, the most expensive isn’t always the best for your specific needs. Prioritize features that are truly essential for monitoring two babies and choose a model that offers the best value within your comfort zone. Sometimes, an excellent budget baby monitor can still offer incredible peace of mind.

Final Thoughts

Investing in the right baby monitor for twins is about more than just technology; it’s about investing in your peace of mind. The ability to see and hear both your little ones, whether they’re sleeping soundly in their bassinet for twins or playing in separate corners of the room, is invaluable. Consider your specific needs, such as whether you prefer a secure, dedicated connection or the flexibility of remote Wi-Fi monitoring. Whichever model you choose from our expert-tested recommendations, you’ll be one step closer to feeling more secure and well-rested as a parent of multiples.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I really need a dual camera baby monitor for twins?

A: Yes, a dual camera baby monitor for twins is highly recommended. It allows you to monitor both babies simultaneously, either side-by-side on a split screen or by cycling between their feeds, which is much more efficient and reassuring than using two separate single-camera monitors.

Q: Are no-WiFi baby monitors safer than WiFi monitors?

A: No-WiFi baby monitors are generally considered more secure as they use a closed 2.4GHz FHSS connection, making them immune to internet hacking attempts. WiFi monitors, while offering remote access via an app, rely on your home network and internet, which can pose potential security risks if not properly secured.

Q: What is a split screen feature and why is it important for twins?

A: A split screen feature allows you to view the video feeds from two different cameras at the same time on a single monitor screen. For twins, this is incredibly important because it lets you keep an eye on both babies in real-time, even if they are in different cribs or rooms, without having to manually switch between views.

Q: How important is battery life on a baby monitor parent unit?

A: Battery life is quite important, especially if you plan to move the parent unit around the house or use it for extended periods without being plugged in. A longer battery life means less interruption and more flexibility, which is often crucial for busy parents of two.

Q: Can I use one camera for two twins in the same crib or bassinet?

A: While technically possible, it’s not ideal. A single camera might not provide a clear view of both babies, especially as they grow or move. For optimal monitoring and peace of mind, using two separate cameras (even if both are in the same room) is recommended with a split-screen monitor to ensure each twin is clearly visible.

Choosing the right best baby monitor for twins is a significant decision for any new parent of multiples. It offers not just surveillance, but genuine peace of mind, allowing you to rest easy knowing your little ones are safe. We hope this comprehensive guide helps you find the perfect monitor to fit your family’s needs. Don’t wait – invest in your peace of mind today and keep a watchful eye on your precious bundles of joy!
