Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Okay I’ll say right off, maybe I should get more friends! But as a man who is a self-styled amateur chef, I have been pining for one of these types of cookers for a couple of years now. I always find a way to squeeze in one more item on the countertop.I choose this model based on reviews, features and brand name. I use my Instant Pot pressure cooker on a semi-regular basis and it is also a great cooking appliance, so I trust the brand name, and it doesn’t disappoint.I first took the air fryer into the garage and ran it through a couple of cycles before using it in the kitchen. There was clearly some smell as noted elsewhere, likely from manufacturing. By the time I used it “for real” on the 3rd run, barely any smell. And by the next time…no discernable smell at all.My complaints are small, but let me get those out of the way. I wished it preheated up to temp faster. It’s advertised in such a way that you think in 60 seconds, you’re cooking. In my experience, it’s 5+ minutes to get it to 400. Faster than an oven for sure, but not quite the blink of an eye I was hoping for. Second – the beeper is not loud enough. It beeps to tell you it’s now at cooking temp, to rotate food or when food is done. For some reason, it seems louder to tell you food is done than it does to tell you the preheating is finished and to add food. You’ve got to be very close, so you can hear (or see) when it’s up to proper temp. Since most foods are specifically timed, if you don’t get your food in shortly after it heats up, it will start counting down whether there is food in it or not. Neither of these takes away from the overall 5 stars.I’ve had it for about 4 weeks and have tried a variety of items. I used the roast feature for skinless salmon. Amazing taste and quick. I found that 10 minutes was perfect for my fish. Others might find mine slightly overcooked, so experiment. It took about 3 tries for my fresh sweet potato fries to come out perfectly. I finally got it right at 20 minutes at 400 in the basket using the air fry function. Evenly cooked and delish.I did homemade coconut shrimp. I can’t remember the exact time – it seems like 12 minutes at 380 but I’m going by memory. There are recipes out there to cross-check my memory. Again – used the air fry function.Baked potatoes were the best I’ve ever made at home. If you like potato skin, check this out. I rubbed them in olive oil, then lightly sprinkled sea salt, black pepper, and a blend of spices that is mostly garlic powder on the outside. These were large potatoes but I guessed and I guessed right – 400 degrees on bake setting for 50 minutes. Perfectly done inside and a nice crispy and tasty skin. You’ll have to take a stab at it based on potato size. HUGE potatoes could be up to 60 minutes. Small taters – might be as low as 25 or 30 minutes.Other items I’ve done are quick prep items. Some frozen and breaded shrimp were perfectly done at 8 minutes at 400. Frozen tater tots same temp at 8-10 minutes. I sprayed a light coating of olive oil and salt on the tator tots. Crispy and delish.Everything so far has been easy and delicious. I have not used all functions – only bake, air fry, and broil so far.If you’re on the fence and you like to cook, take the leap!3/5/23 update: still really enjoying my air fryer. I find that it makes fish taste amazing. The dinner shown in the photo is flounder and sides. The flounder was cooked about 7 minutes using the broil function. Rubbed a bit of avocado oil, then used some fresh thyme and lemon pepper seasoning and a touch of garlic spice blend. Squeezed some lemon over the top, and broiled perfectly. I still use it, still enjoy it and continue to recommend it!

Customer Review: Wonderful air fryer. Large size that is able to accurately heat food with no real issues whatsoever. Sturdy, strong, easy to cook with, and overall have had no issues whatsoever.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This is the perfect size for my needs. I cook for one and this efficient, slim air fryer more than meets my needs. It’s more compact than others, which was important to me, it simply works like a charm and it’s easy to clean! I’ve cooked 2 large chicken breasts that were perfectly roasted. I sliced a potato and ‘air fried’ French fries and they were very good. It will be great to use for other things too. If you’re looking to try an air fryer doesn’t have a large foodprint, but delivers top quality results, give this one consideration!

Customer Review: I can’t believe it took me so long to get this air fryer. For years I had this huge ugly one that didn’t fit in my pantry. This air fryer is perfect! It’s so sleek and fits in my pantry perfect and of course I love the fun color! It’s really easy to use and does a really good job. It’s also a lot quieter than my previous air fryer. I highly recommend if you are looking for an air fryer than isn’t super bulky. Works great for me!

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I purchased the Cosori mini air fryer because of its small size. I decided on the Cosori because it’s probably the smallest overall size and I leave my fryer out on the counter. I have used the fryer first time to cook Trader J’s potatoes bell pepper and onion, the potatoes turned out great, onions slightly overcooked because they were cut too fine (delicate) – it will take a bit of learning curve as the air frying temp default is at 400 degrees and what you are cooking. For my first use, I’m happy with the results, it works well. One last thing, the instructions tell you to keep the back of the fryer 5 inches away from a wall as there is a air vent in back to allow proper air circulation, all fryers have similar requirements. There are a few 2 quart air fryers available on Amazon. You can search best mini/smallest air fryers or view a video by “Just a Dads Video” entitled Best Mini Air Fryer 2 Quart Comparison NINJA, INSTANT, COSORI, DASH Back To School. A good comparison of four mini fryers available and has 3 of the more popular brands in the review. The Basket Dimensions (D x W x H): 5.9 x 6.2 x 3.5 in, it’s small but great for single and couple…small but consider what you will be cooking…..UPDATE 09/08/24:I use with the factory settings for air frying, smaller pieces of food brown quickly, you can adjust if you have the same problem, I notice this when cooking frozen french fries. adjust trial by error method to obtain you preference, glad this unit has a adjustment for temp and time to get better results. Overall, am pleased with the performance and the 2 quart capacity. Recommend this product.04/18/25 Update:I purchased the Cosori in June 2024,, I use the air fryer lightly and it’s performs perfectly as when purchased. Corsair recommends washing after each use, if you wash after each use, this will keep the unit from picking up odors from previously cooked foods and make cleaning easier rather than a deep cleans if left with old oil and food scraps and continue ing to cook next nights meal – it’s easy to clean and highly recommend regular washing, please use non-scratch blue pads, not the green backed sponge… there are people who don’t know how abrasive the green scrubbers are. I don’t know why, but some of my friends don’t wash their air fryers regularly. As I stated in my original review, I decided on the Cosori over the 2.0 quart Instapot because the overall footprint was smaller. This decision was proven out when I was able to purchase the Instapot 2.0 quart for $5 and had the opportunity to compare the two fryers. The Corsori is definitely smaller in size, refer to photo. Though these are both same size (Corsori 2.1 qt – Instapot 2.0 qt. The inside dimensions comparison: The Corsori is “smaller” (6.25 x 6.0 x 3.25 height with tray) to Instapot (6.75 x 6.75 x 2.5 height with tray), Cosori is smaller but taller than and this review update help you decide on what air fryer to purchase. Lastly, the control systems are different, with the Corsori you change temp and time by pressing a button, with the Instapot you rotate the knob to change temp and time, which is quicker to change. The video I referenced in my original review shows the tray falling out when turned over…. The tray stays in the basket via the silicon feet that comes the the unit…not clear why his video shows the tray so loose.Cleaning… search web for videos on cleaning, cleaning inside fryer heating coils and general area will keep fryer from picking up food / burnt on food odors.

Customer Review: This air fryer is exactly as advertised. It works well and quickly, clean up is super easy, and it beats heating up the oven for one or two servings of something like roasted vegetables. If you’re looking for something that can make multiple servings at once, this isn’t for you, but it’s perfect for one or two people. So far I’ve used it mainly for roasting vegetables, for which it works quite well. I’ve also used it to bake frozen biscuits, to heat up and cook frozen fish, and to heat up and brown frozen samosas. With preheating, I’m done in under 20 minutes. It’s taken a little trial and error to find the exact time and temperature I want to use for different items, but that’s been easy enough to do. I want more information about cooking specific items than the brochure gives, but there are quite a few options on the internet if you’re wondering about a particular item or recipe. Next experiment will be homemade goat cheese fritters.Clean up is simple: let it cool, put some hot soapy water in the basket with the grid, wash and rinse. The inner surfaces are non-stick so they clean quite easily. It can also go in the dishwasher but it’s easier for me to just hand wash it and put it back in the air fryer.I’ve only used the air fryer mode and the bake mode. I haven’t tried reheat or roast. It takes up a relatively small amount of counter space, which is important to me because my counter space is limited. It has a roughly 8″ by 7.5″ footprint. The cost was great, about $25.Safety issue: please note that you have to either put this where it has at least 5″ air circulation on all sides and on top, or be able to pull it out to a position where it has that. I do the latter and then just push it back into its space on the back of the counter when I’m done. I also don’t leave it plugged in when I’m not using it, but I don’t believe that was in the safety instructions. It’s just my preference. If you’re looking for a small efficient air fryer, I highly recommend this one.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I never write reviews… but I’m obsessed with this air fryer. No joke it has literally changed my life hahhaah. First off – I don’t cook. Never have. Always hated it. I’m neurodivergent and I’m very good at a lot of things but just not in the kitchen – I hate the prep, the smells, the number of options for tools and pans, etc… the way the stove or oven heats up the whole kitchen, and the huge amount of dishes and whatever you have to clean up afterwards. I think the thing that bothers me the most though is that it’s hard to find good recipes – people will just share horrible recipes that take forever to make (and groceries are expensive these days!) You spend all that money and end up with something gross. Or I would mess up and burn something or undercook something because there are so many nuances that go unspoken in cooking. All ovens have different internal temperatures… cooking on gas or electric stoves affect the types of pans you may be using… I don’t even know which pans are good for what types of foods… there’s so much to consider and it all goes widely unsaid in recipes. So I often would try to make something and end up throwing it out. Not fun. Long story short, it’s just not worth it to me. Luckily my spouse is an amazing cook and loves the art of it. He knows how to make anything and how to take a recipe and alter it to be GOOD, so he does all the cooking! Fast-forward to him having to leave for about a month this summer and I’m really struggling in the kitchen alone every day. My mom suggested getting an air fryer to make my life easier – just a small one (she recommended this exact model backed by research and thousands of great reviews). I thought okay maybe it would be nice to heat up some frozen food and have it be cooked better than a microwave at least, I don’t know. I always thought air fryers were a gimicky thing – just another dumb gadget to take up space on the counter. Not interested. But I ordered it anyway… she was adamant I would like it. And oh. My god, was she right. I had no idea!! First of all, pretty much everything frozen or pre-packaged has air fryer instructions on the back. You just dump some stuff in, set the temperature and time, and in a few mintiess, you have something that is PERFECTLY COOKED. It’s too simple. Nothing comes out rubbery or unevenly cooked like in the microwave. Everything is chef’s kiss – crispy, cooked, perfect… almost like grill-level good. And you just push a button. It’s so small, there are no pans or excess dishes to wash after. You just wait for the basket to cool off then rinse with a bit of soap and water the end. Or you can even use those air fryer basket liners – even less clean up! Then I tried making real food… he air fryer recipes on the internet are sooooo simple – buy a thing, season it, maybe spray the air fryer basket with some olive or avocado oil, then press a button. So then I tried to make stuff not from frozen bags! I made buffalo wings… brussel sprouts… cheeseburgers… chicken breast… asparagus… even steak!!! It may sound stupid but this is HUGE for me. Like – I bought raw meat and was 100% confident that the air fryer would cook it correctly and that I wouldn’t make a mess or overwhelm myself. And that’s exactly what happened! Quick, easy dinners in MINUTES with no mess. It’s a miracle. It’s like, what I always wanted cooking to be lol, just pop something in a little drawer, set the time and temp and bam, it’s done. It reminds of that gadget in Back to the Future 2 – I hope someone else remembers this – when they go visit the McFly house in the future and they’re cooking dinner in that “hydrator” thing and the mom pops the food in the drawer and says “hydrate level 4, please” and the food comes out perfect in like 30 seconds, hahaha. THAT’S what I always wanted and THAT’S what the air fryer is to me!!! I’m so obsessed. My spouse is back and I’ve been cooking multiple nights a week and he is STUNNED he can’t stop laughing at my new obsession and is also very impressed that the stuff I’m air frying is really good! So he calls me the air fryer queen now. I just bought another one – a 4 qt. Chefman model so I can cook multiple things at once! So anyway – if you hate cooking and never thought you had a chance… I’m here to tell you there is hope haha. And this lil mini 2 qt. chefman is a hero for the ages.

Customer Review: This air fryer works great and is very easy to use. It heats up quickly and cooks food evenly with a nice crispy result. The size is perfect for everyday meals and it’s easy to clean. I’ve been using it often and so far I’m very happy with the quality for the price.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I was very late to the Air Fryer game, thinking it would be another cooking product I would use for a bit, then grow tiredof using (juicers, blenders, instant pot).I decided to jump in, and chose this Cosori TurboBlaze due to reviews that put it as top choice when I went to chose anAir Fryer on Amazon. The main features of this particular Fryer that drew me to it was ease of use, capacity, and ease of cleaning.I use the Cosori daily, I am amazed at how well food cooked in it turns out with little effort, and how much fun (and cheaper) it is to make food at home instead of relying on take-out, I really look forward to trying different things and coming up with timing cooking multiple items at once!It is so easy to clean, I recommend using parchment paper liners, I just remove that after cooking, then to a quick soak with dish soap.I only wish I discovered my Cosori earlier in my life, it makes cooking so fast and easy and fun!!!My review title may seem a bit dramatic, but yup, that’s my honest opinion!

Customer Review: This is my 5th air fryer. The first two sucked. I loved the 3rd one but it went kaput within 6 months plus it was hard to clean anyways. The 4th one (Ninja Flip 10-in-1 Toaster Oven & Air Fryer) absolutely SUCKED. It either burned & dried out my food or undercooked it and left it soggy or both. After trying to figure it out for a week… I finally gave up. It was also a nightmare to clean (like everyone else says, even the ones who love it.) BUT I am so happy I found this air fryer!! Not to mention it’s 2/3 of the price of the crappy ninja flip (which was on sale, too.) But this one has been amazing. From the very first meal I cooked… the food turned out great and it’s only gotten better since I’ve learned how it works. 9/10 things I cook in it, turn out perfectly cooked and crispy. I suck at cooking chicken any other way than in this air fryer. I go on and off the low histamine diet and whenever I’m on it… it’s sooo much easier cooking my meals in this and I don’t have to compromise on taste, either. I cook tons of different vegetables and they all turn out delicious. But all the meats I’ve cooked in this have also been surprisingly tasty. It doesn’t get hot all around the air fryer so it’s safe around kids if they were to happen to touch it. It’s actually better looking than I expected. It’s very intuitive. I did run it on a cycle outside first to get the initial burn off and I didn’t think it smelled (too) bad (and I’m very sensitive to chemicals and smells.) It’s insanely easy to clean. I’m very hard to please and this air fryer has pleasantly surprised me. If anyone says that air fryers suck… I now know they just don’t have a Cosori TurboBlaze. But the main reason I ordered this one over others is that I went down a rabbit hole about PFOA + PTFE free air fryers and even the ones that are stainless steel, many are coated with teflon or some sort of forever chemical. I am grateful to have found this ceramic one that is PFOA + PTFE free so I feel safe using it. I’ve also read their customer service is amazing and discovered that it comes with a manufacture’s 1 year warranty BUT if you register it online within 14 days of purchasing it… they give you a 2 year warranty. Overall, 11/10 recommend. Cosori, thank you for making such a quality product for an amazing price.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This air fryer is amazing. My round little red 2 quart air fryer finally bit the dust. I have a very small counter space and was concerned whether I could go higher than a 2 quart fryer. I use it the fryer sometimes multiple times a day so need to leave it out on the counter. After doing comparisons between a number of air fryers, I selected this out of several overall, and I am not at all disappointed in my selection. The overall compact size is perfect for the counter space allotted, and doesn’t interfere with using my toaster oven to the right or my mixer to the left. The instructions are easy to follow. Installation is a matter of plugging the cord in the wall. I like that the basket fits firmly in the drawer. I love the ability to turn on the light during cooking. I made meatballs last night that were juicy, tasty and done in the timeframe suggested. Today I made chicken thighs that were absolutely delicious and again done in the time suggested in the booklet. It’s very easy to clean. It’s stylish and I am just absolutely delighted that I was able to go from a 2 to 4 quart, and because of the square compactness it really doesn’t take up all that much more space as the 2 quart round. This is a wonderful product with a great price point and I highly recommend it.

Customer Review: I absolutely love this! Got it half off on Black Friday. Very easy to use and clean. Microwaving pizza doesn’t do well, but you can warm it up in the air fryer in less time than it takes to warm up the oven! You can cook a chicken breast and it’ll be nice and juicy, not dried out. I like to cook bacon in it. Faster and a lot less mess. Also Amazon said this one doesn’t get returned as much as other brands. I haven’t had any problems with it.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I’ve owned this for nearly two months. If a measure of how well you like something is how often you use it, I’ve used mine at least 20 times so far, which is quite a bit. I mostly cook roasted vegetables in it, with a variety of seasoning, but have also made a grilled cheese sandwich, french fries, and other things. It works quite well, every single time. Cooking things perfectly with very little oversight or effort. As others have noted it’s very simple to use. Put food in it, cook, eat, clean. Maybe not quite that simple, but almost. I’ve tried marinading things, adding oil, various seasoning, skipping oil, and it handles all of it well.If I were to advise anyone buying an air fryer, know that with many recipes, you’re going to have to flip/toss/move the food around every 5-10 minutes (many recipes are 20 minutes and under). A very small inconvenience. Even if you didn’t do this, the food would still likely turn out okay.As others have noted, this is ridiculously easy to clean. 2 minutes in the sink with a sponge and you’re good. I suppose you could put it in a dishwasher, but it’s ridiculously easy to clean by hand. The recipe book that comes with it is very minimal. There are many more out there, or many recipes online. Or, just experiment!

Customer Review: Only had for a week, used four times. So far, am loving it. Came from using the Ninja Foodi Grill air fryer, the darn thing was so heavy and large, I wanted a smaller and more convenient option after my husband died, because I did not want to use it, he was the machine operator! This air fryer was described in an article by a well known print and digital consumer reporting magazine, as a recommended option. I felt like it was worth trying.Opted for the regular non-stick model because I planned to use parchment in the basket to make cleanup easier and preserve the non-stick coating, as well as the cost difference between it and the ceramic model. I’ve since learned I may want to try the perforated parchment, what I bought is not perforated, so am curious about air flow differences. Also discovered a hack stating that placing the non-perforated liner baskets in the very bottom of the fryer, under the perforated crisper tray works. I have not tried that yet.Pros for me are the unit’s small size and weight, handle on top, QUIET operation (actually thought it wasn’t working until I began to smell the food!). Being used to the noise of the Foodi, this quietness was a pleasant shock. Also pre-heating is not a requirement, (but recommended) depending on food choices. Since it is not required, there is no ready made pre-heat setting, but I think you could easily program one of the three available preset options for that purpose.I’ve only done frozen potstickers and frozen chicken wing parts so far, both with and without oil. I chose olive oil delivered via a fine spray mister. Still have more to experiment with, but with & without oil, with & without parchment basket liners, I saw no difference in crispness. The frozen chicken wing parts will not be something I purchase again though, as they are so full of water, that cooking them from a frozen state results in a swimming pool of liquid and does not yield anything crisp. Recommend thawing those and making sure to use pressure and paper towels to squish wetness out before cooking. Anxious to try “fresh” (non-frozen) wings instead. All in all, this feels like a quality unit, that if used properly should do the trick for my purposes. I do feel like the instructions could be a bit more detailed, I prefer an easy to reference chart, which is shown, but is split onto two pages in the manual.A special note, if you register your air fryer, Dash adds an additional year to the warranty. We shall see how that works out!

Complete Buying Guide for Best Air Fryer For Dorm Room

Essential Factors We Consider

Choosing the best air fryer for a dorm room isn’t just about picking the cheapest or prettiest one. You need a model that fits your unique student lifestyle and limited space. We always look at size and capacity first; a compact footprint is non-negotiable for tiny dorm counters, with a capacity typically between 2-4 quarts being ideal for 1-2 people. Ease of use is also key – nobody wants a complicated appliance when deadlines are looming. Look for intuitive controls, whether digital or dial, and clear instructions. Cleaning is another major factor; dishwasher-safe components or nonstick surfaces are lifesavers. Lastly, consider safety features like auto shut-off and cool-touch exteriors, which are especially important in shared living spaces where rules about appliances can be strict. The right appliance can also replace your need for a best mini microwave for dorm.

Budget Planning

As a student, every dollar counts, and finding a great dorm air fryer that doesn’t break the bank is often a priority. The good news is that there are many excellent, affordable options available. Mini air fryers, especially those in the 2-3 quart range, tend to be the most budget-friendly, typically costing between $30-$70. While some larger or more feature-rich models can go upwards of $100-$150, you often don’t need all those bells and whistles for dorm living. Remember to consider the overall value: a slightly more expensive model might offer better durability, easier cleaning, or more versatile functions that save you money on takeout in the long run. Also, consider accessories like a good best oil sprayer for air fryer to ensure healthier cooking and extend the life of your unit.

Final Thoughts

When selecting your ideal air fryer for dorm room use, envision your daily routine. Do you mostly need to reheat leftovers and frozen snacks, or do you aspire to cook more elaborate meals? Do you have strict space constraints, or can you accommodate a slightly larger unit? Considering these points will help you narrow down the best choice. Many students find that small air fryers significantly improve their ability to eat healthier and more diverse meals while at college. Think about adding best parchment paper for air fryer or best silicone air fryer liners to make cleanup even easier. Whatever your needs, there’s a perfect compact air fryer out there to make your dorm dining experience a whole lot better!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are air fryers allowed in dorm rooms?

A: Policies vary greatly by university and even by dorm building. It’s crucial to check your specific dorm’s rules and regulations before purchasing an air fryer. Many dorms allow appliances like air fryers if they have an automatic shut-off feature and are kept away from flammable materials, but some may prohibit them entirely.

Q: What size air fryer is best for a dorm room?

A: For most dorm rooms, a 2-quart to 4-quart air fryer is ideal. This range offers a compact footprint that won’t overcrowd limited counter space, while still providing enough capacity for single servings or meals for up to two people. Larger models can take up too much space and may exceed electrical limits.

Q: Can I cook a full meal in a dorm air fryer?

A: Absolutely! While capacities are smaller, you can cook a surprising variety of full meals. Think chicken breasts, salmon fillets, roasted vegetables, grilled cheese, personal pizzas, or even small baked goods. Many frozen meals also cook perfectly in an air fryer, offering quick and convenient options.

Q: How do I keep my dorm air fryer clean?

A: Most modern air fryers feature nonstick baskets and trays that are often dishwasher-safe, making cleanup relatively easy. For handwashing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Wiping down the exterior with a damp cloth is usually sufficient. Regular cleaning prevents food buildup and odors.

Q: Are air fryers safe to use in a dorm?

A: Yes, air fryers are generally safe when used correctly. Always ensure good ventilation, place the air fryer on a heat-resistant surface, and never leave it unattended while operating.
