Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This will not turn itself on at 5:57 AM on Wednesday morning, keep your coffee hot, grind your beans, iron your shirts, or draw your bath. If you want that, hire a butler. What this does do is make a darned good cup of hot coffee in a quick amount of time. The footprint on this is tiny, which is a requirement in my studio apartment with it’s 34″ x 27″ of counter space. The water volume tank is easily filled and clearly measured, so if you try to put more water in than your cup will hold, the spillage is your fault. I’m not having any sputtering problems. It’s easy to access the coffee area. The water is hot enough unless you prefer burned-tasting coffee. I don’t buy the individual serving cups, but I do buy the disposable filters by Perfect Pod and use them inside the metal filter to avoid sediment. Using 1.5-1.75 T of coffee in the filter with 8 oz water makes a rich and sturdy cup and doesn’t overflow the paper filter, so you can just tip the metal basket into the trash and not have one ground to clean up. You can use more grounds if you don’t mind cleaning the basket. I enjoy the ritual of making the coffee, so making the cups one at a time isn’t a down side for me.On to the first world problems people seem to have.Yes, it drips. Never met one that didn’t. There’s no drip tray. But I’ll bet you’ve got paper towels or a washcloth or a fancy paper doily you can put beneath the mug to catch that drip. If you’re old enough to drink coffee, you’re old enough to figure this out. If you put in 12 oz of water and a 10 oz mug, it will overflow. Your mug cannot be larger than 3.5″ across and 5.25″ high. If you want 20 oz of coffee, make two 10 oz cups (or a 12 and an 8 — do the math) and pour them into your monster mug. Or stop drinking so much coffee; it’s bad for you and it costs way too much money. Listen to Mom. Put that money into savings, along with everything you save by not buying avocado toast or fancy coffee drinks at coffee shops. Soon you’ll be a millionaire. But I digress. You cannot set it for a dark or a light brew, you have to adjust the amount of coffee to water. So buy this inexpensive coffee maker that makes a good cup of coffee. You’re still going to have to clean beneath the drip tray in one that costs more. And remember — you’ve come so far from having to perk coffee in the metal basket on the stove for 20 minutes, which actually made wonderful coffee and made the house smell yummy, plus you had to develop the ability to delay gratification until it was ready. It built character. Ah, for the days of bacon and eggs and percolated coffee…

Customer Review: I love this little coffee maker! It has been a lifesaver for me while I was in transition and living in an Airbnb. The unit only had a regular coffee pot and I found it wasteful so I bought this on a whim with little expectations and now that I’ve moved into my real home, I’m still using it.It only makes one cup at a time, so be mindful of filling it with just the amount of water that you need to use for that cup of coffee. It is a little slow and a little splashy but that should not prevent you from buying it. It’s quiet easy to use and I’ve had it now for almost 5 months and it is held up very well.I use regular K cups and it also includes a separate cup if you want to fill it with regular coffee. Perfect item for travel, camping or just a small area.Looks just as pictured and fits almost anywhere with its compact size. Highly recommend.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Years ago I received a secondhand Keurig from my local “everything free” group. It was the original model, a big sucker. Definitely more firepower than I needed but so powerful and dominant I could not resist it.That machine became vital to my ADHD morning routine. No more spilling stuff everywhere, no more folded-over coffee filter and cup full of grounds and water. No more being late because I had to babysit my coffee maker. I could just pop the pod in, press a button, and go. My life was improved. That machine was an absolute workhorse but sadly after constant use it began shutting itself off and not restarting. It was time to move on.I initially purchased a knock-off k-cup machine. It promised that it would make both iced and hot coffee for $20 less. It wove a web of lies that ensnared me. I won’t get into what was wrong with it, that is for another review. What I will say is that I returned it promptly and ordered this brand new fancy baby Keurig. This machine, which I will call K-Pod Demon Hunter, heats quickly — like almost immediately. It brews a perfect cup every time. It makes pleasant noises while it works that let me know it’s happy. I am also happy. We are happy together, like the song. The only thing I do not like about this machine is the color. It was on sale because it’s a “holiday color” but it is not attractive. It is ugly. It’s the color you see in winter coats on sale. Your chain-smoking great aunt who is obsessed with true crime and criticizes your life choices but may leave you some money when she dies has a jacket in this color. It’s neither red nor purple nor magenta. It has a touch of brown but it’s not rust. Nobody likes this color. Nobody has ever liked this color. It’s not a color that will become retro at any point. This color is neither pleasing to the eye nor soothing to the spirit. But I’m not perfect either and K-pod Demon Hunter accepts me as I am. I am writing this review in a different room so it can’t hear me and feel hurt. Perhaps over time I will learn to love this color because I love the machine in which it is swathed. Unlikely, but they say that love can work miracles.Reader, I wish you all the best in your coffee journey. I hope that you find love like I did with K-Pod Demon Hunter. Heed my words and do not be tempted by off-brand substitutes and their beautiful lies. They won’t understand you. They won’t respect you. They won’t be there for you and your time of need like K-Pod Demon Hunter is for me. I want you to have what I have. Your happiness is important to me.

Customer Review: My husband and I absolutely LOVE this Keurig K-Express Single Serve coffee maker!!!I first ordered two other coffee makers that were off brands and returned them for different reasons. I wanted another Keurig but decided against it after reading the negative reviews even though they had several good reviews, too. After the off brands didn’t work out, I decided to take my chances with the Keurig K-Express, and I’m sooooo glad I did!!! It looks and fits great on our kitchen counter, it’s very easy to use, it has an 8, 10 & 12 ounce cup option, a “strong” button, an “on/off” button, an “add water” button, and a “descale” button. It makes coffee, tea or hot cocoa in about 6 seconds, tops!!! The water reservoir holds 42 ounces and fits on the back. After you fill and attach the water reservoir, plug it in, and once you open the lid to insert the kcup and shut the lid, the machine automatically turns on. All you need to do is make sure your mug is underneath and select the button for the number of ounces. It starts heating the water quickly, and within 6 seconds, it’s pouring your coffee or tea or hot cocoa. If you make hot cocoa, the instructions say that after you make it, you should remove the used kcup and then run the machine again with just water to clean out any thick chocolate residue. Simple! We’ve only had this for 3 or 4 days, but so far, we are thrilled with it and would definitely buy the same one again in the future. I hope this one lasts for at least 3 or 4 years, and I highly recommend this Keurig K-Express!!!

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I’ve owned more coffee makers than I care to admit (Keurigs, Nespressos, pour-overs, you name it), but the VINCI Micro Café is hands-down one of the best mini brewers I’ve ever bought, and it’s now my daily driver.Let’s start with the obvious: this thing is ridiculously small. It’s barely bigger than a large coffee mug and fits literally anywhere. Despite the micro size, it feels solid and well-built, not cheap or flimsy.Ease of us, it’s simple. Fill the water tank (which holds enough for several cups), pop in your favorite ground coffee (yes, it uses real grounds, but can use store bought pods as well), pick your brew size (4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 oz, all the way up to a 20 ounce carafe), and hit start. That’s it. No paper filters needed thanks to the built-in reusable metal filter, and cleanup is a breeze with just a few second rinse. The enclosed brewing system prevents splashes and spills, keeping your countertop clean It has an Auto-Clean function that flushes the brewing line with fresh water in seconds to prevent residue buildup and ensure long-lasting performance. I can literally make a cup faster than my old Keurig, without using plastic pods. You can still use the premade plastic pods if you want, but I have my perfect blend of coffee I like to use.The multiple brew sizes are a game-changer. Whether I want a strong 4 oz espresso-style shot to kickstart my brain or a full 12 oz travel mug for the commute, or a 20 oz Carafe to keep me going, it nails every volume perfectly with zero dilution or weakness. The coffee tastes fantastic. It is seriously rich, bold, hot, and full-bodied, way better than any pod machine I’ve used. It uses a proper pump and brews at the right temperature and pressure, it extracts flavor like a mini version of a high-end drip machine. My morning dark roast tastes like coffee shop quality now. If you like a bolder brew – just put it on the bolder brew setting for stronger coffeeThis little machine has earned a permanent spot in my life (and on my counter). Highly, highly recommend!

Customer Review: I know this coffee pot is a little pricey, but it’s worth every dollar.I love that I don’t have to put a cup under it, that makes a mess, and also just certain cups fit.It takes k-cup just like others, but it brews like a real coffee pot. The greatest part, is I can pour it into the coffee cup of my choice. It’s also small. I wanted small. This is going into an old argosy airstream we are renovatingThe other keurig or keurig type coffe machines are narrow, but deep, taking up a lot more room on the counter.I also think it’s beautiful with a matte finish. The brewing time is very quick. It’s very easy to clean and even has a cleaning button on it, if you need it more clean or need to descale.I know IAm all over the place, but just can’t tell you enough about this adorable, well made little machine.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: Several reviews mention that this coffee maker takes a long time — up to two minutes — to brew a cup of coffee. Some reviews suggest you go do a little something else while you wait. Other reviews say (and a few show) that the machine splatters water everywhere. Some say it’s loud.I’m not saying that those scenarios are not true. Some pictures even prove it. In fact, I was a little hesitant to hit the “order” button for fear of these issues. However, none of these issues has been a problem since this little machine was plugged in at our newly outfitted dining room coffee bar. This machine brews INSTANTLY, as fast as our big Keurig in the kitchen. And NO SPLATTER. Clean as a whistle. And noise? Well, I don’t remember the noise, which means it’s the same as or even quieter than our big kitchen Keurig.I was also pleasantly surprised to feel how heavy the machine is. I don’t know what I was expecting. Maybe something that was as lightweight (disturbingly so) as our new, very basic toaster. But this thing has sufficient heft to it, looks great on our coffee bar cabinet, makes coffee in a snap, and I think it even has an auto-off after brewing. (I say “I think” because I don’t remember turning the machine off after brewing my cup and when I returned to the machine a few minutes later, the “on” button wasn’t lit.)This little machine just makes my day, one cup at a time. I love it!UPDATE: The machine failed this morning. I’ve only had the coffee brewer since September 19, 2024, which as of this writing, is only a month and a half.I brew one cup per day in the machine, so I would say it gets light use. This morning, distracted, I forgot to put water in the reservoir prior to hitting Brew. As soon as I realized that there was no water, I lifted the lid to stop the brewing, put water in the reservoir and hit Brew. It failed to brew and instead, turned off. I tried a new K-Cup and started over. Still turned off. I unplugged the machine. It still turned off and would not brew.I called Keurig customer service to troubleshoot, figuring there is an easy solution to this issue. After a few questions, they determined that the machine is faulty and said to return it.The upshot: it worked well up until it didn’t. Maybe it was operator error, as I forgot to put water in the reservoir. But our big main Keurig machine doesn’t have that issue. After some reading, we discovered that this little machine, in its stripped-down design, doesn’t have a “water low” warning and the elements burn out easily/quickly. So I don’t know if it was operator error that caused the issue or if the machine is prone to this issue and it would have burned out anyway. We take good care of our appliances and gently/carefully use them. I am now hesitant to reorder this machine. It seems sensitive and not able to take regular, human use without breaking down.

Customer Review: Love the slim style and color. Doesn’t take up much counter space. Good for one person. Or one cup here and there after a dinner party.Update: now it doesn’t work and past the return date window. Didn’t even last two months.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I’ve always leaned toward instant coffee for convenience, but after spotting this machine in a store, I decided to give it a try — and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the glamping green color, and it’s absolutely beautiful in person. The compact size is one of my favorite features. It’s lightweight, easy to move around, and doesn’t take up much counter space — perfect for an office, apartment, dorm, or any small home setup. I love that it’s truly single-serve and brews exactly the amount of water you pour in, so there’s no waste. It’s simple to use, works well, and makes a really nice cup of coffee. It would also make a thoughtful gift for someone living in a smaller space. I’d definitely recommend it!

Customer Review: Ordered this for our family’s 32 foot motorhome and the size does not dissapoint. It is a perfect fit and does not take up much counter top space.Decided to go with the smaller size because when it is not being used, it needs to be stored away, and space is always at a premium. This thing brews coffee so quickly. Probably about a minute or less from the time you get it started. The only thing I wish it had was a retractable power cord. That would have been a really nice touch. The color is cool and different.I know some reviews mention that the coffee was not hot enough but that has not been our experience. The temperature is great and the kids really appreciate being able to make hot cocoa within a minute.I purchased these refillable stainless steel brewing pods for it and have been pretty happy with them. For $12 for a two pack, it was kind of a no brainer. NESSUS 2 Pack Reusable K Cup

Customer Review: Fast brew, right size for my 12oz mugs. I ran plain water through it twice to clean before using, and making a 2nd cup right away for another person will be no problem. I first tried a K cup for tea, and it worked wonderfully last night. This morning I used the loose coffee filter thingie, and coffee tasted just like from my larger coffee maker. I first wished the cup plate was heated, but why? You will be making this right before drinking one cup, not like having a carafe sitting around for a couple of hours. The coffee is hot enough when made, but since I put refrigerated creamer in it, that cools it down so I need to nuke it for 30 seconds after the creamer. You do have to be careful to position the loose coffee filter cup perfectly sideways, and snap all parts tightly in place. No grounds leaked for me. So far this little gadget is up to expectations, but I’ve only used it twice, I do have hard water so will have to see how the cleaning cycle works for me.

Customer Review: This simple, small coffee maker is the best one cup maker I have owned, including much more expensive, name brand, multi-featured makers. First, it is fast! Two minutes after pouring the water in and pushing the single button, an 8 oz. cup is ready and the machine shuts off. Then, it has the smallest footprint possible, which is important to me with my limited counter space. It of course accepts K cups, which I use, but also has a permanent filter cup for loose ground coffee which my husband uses. This filter cup has a hinged lid that snaps tightly and does an excellent job of preventing grounds from spilling out. A 5 1/2″ thermal mug holding 25 oz. will fit under the dispenser, but taller will not. The maximum amount that you can brew at once is 12 oz., which is about all you would want to brew using just 1 k cup. After I had been using the coffee maker for about 6 months the red light came on indicating it needed the descaling run. I ran the descaling solution through it one time and the red light went off and has stayed off for the 3 months since. At no time did it sound like it was straining to get the water through the tube. The sound of brewing is louder than some previous brands, but softer than others. It is not so loud as to be annoying. This pot does not have a clock or the ability to set it to come on before you get up. It does not have a resevoir to catch the coffee in case you forget to put your cup in place. It does not have a platform so you can use an extra tall thermos. I do not miss any of these features you can pay more to get in other models. It has only one button. Press and release to start the brewing, and a light on the button comes on to show it brewing, and the light goes off when it is finished. Press and hold the same button for 3 seconds to run a descaling cycle. Simple and just right for me!

Customer Review: I received this about a week ago and it has been PERFECT. When I first received it, I fell in love with the color (as it is my favorite) and size. It was nicely packaged and in perfect condition. I ran the first cycle through with just water and wiped it down like the manual said. I only made one cup each day using the tumbler included I used cold bottled water and poured it in the tumbler leaving space for creamer. Because I wanted to make sure I have the right amount after fully brewed.*Today I went to make a cup as usual since ive had it.. And noticed the water I was pouring in was coming out of the bottom fast but not all of it. It was about 2 inches or so less of water that I initially poured into the Tumbler that was leaked out. I wiped it up and continue to press the blue power button. And it brewed fine (minus the amount leaked in the beginning) without any more leakage. I will make another cup later on today and do a update.* Tumbler is very nice to have and keeps coffee hot/warm for a hour+ …As long as you keep the lid locked after you sip. Easy to clean, I like the reusable filter it comes with. I just dump the used grounds in a plastic sack and toss it. Rinse filter quickly and dry fast. Long as you don’t use super fine grounds then the filter is perfect!.**All in all I LOVE this and recommend for occasional coffee drinkers. Especially with limited space and no need for full size…. I’m just waiting to see if it leaks again later today when I update!****Another update: I have had this for a while now. I usually only make one cup per day. I clean it right after I am done and I make sure it is unplugged. This is a great machine for someone who is maybe just a single coffee drinker in the home or if it’s just two people. It has not leaked since that one first time. Which I do think now the only reason there was water was because it dripped from the cup and I didn’t notice. So I think this actually didn’t leak on me as I thought. I’m still using it everyday and it is wonderful.***Well OVER 1 YEAR UPDATE***So this little single coffee maker is the best!!! I use to almost everyday, once a day. And it is still working just as good as when I first got it. I love this thing and definitely definitely recommend!!! Just make sure to always unplug it when you’re done and don’t make a bunch of cups back to back. At least I wouldn’t recommend that. But if you are on the fence of ordering this and you only have one coffee drinker in the house, this is the perfect one!!! ✨☕

Customer Review: I’ve had mine for about 9 months . I originally bought if for my tea but in my pantry I flounder some coffee pods . I put them in the filtered basket and it makes the perfect cup of coffee . Can’t wait till I buy some good freshly ground coffee! QIt’s very quick and it makes it for my taste the perfect temp for a cup of Joe .Reasonable pricing is a good incentive but good performance is what makes me a fan

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I have used this coffee machine at work and it was great! So great I needed to buy it for myself! It’s easy to use, no complications there. It’s small and compact for my area selection in my apartment. The thing I can complain about is not having the right thermal. My thermal is too tall for it but that’s just an issue I need to resolve. The drip rate can be a bit much. So when you think you got all of the drip out. Nope. Just place a folded piece of napkin to catch the rest and you’ll be alright. I absolutely love the quality it gives my coffee brew. The color I went for wasn’t the original color I wanted but it was on sale for this color so I can’t complain on that. Brew time is good, not too long but not too quick. So if you want to clean up a bit or get something warmed up it’s enough time. Will purchase again because it’s great for ground and k cup. Love the flexibility.

Customer Review: I love this little coffee maker! The longer I’ve had it the more I like it. It brews quickly, and the coffee is just the right temperature. It has a setting for iced tea, but I don’t find that very useful. While the water is not as hot, it’s still hot enough that it melts the ice. I’ve purchased several different brands of pods and they all fit and work fine. The only issue I have is that it splatters while brewing. I have a tall ceramic mug that helps prevent splattering. I put a measuring cup under regular size mugs and that also helps with the splattering. Overall, it’s a great single cup coffee maker for the price, especially compared to more expensive brands.

Complete Buying Guide for Single Use Coffee Maker

Essential Factors We Consider

When choosing the best single use coffee maker, several factors come into play to ensure you find the perfect match for your lifestyle. We look beyond just price, focusing on practical aspects like versatility, speed, and ease of maintenance. Think about whether you prefer the convenience of K-Cups or the fresh taste of ground coffee. Some models offer dual functionality, allowing you to use both, which can be a huge plus. We also consider the footprint of the machine – a best small coffee maker no pods, for instance, might be crucial for a cramped kitchen or dorm room. Brew time is another key element; a fast brew can be a lifesaver on busy mornings. Finally, features like water reservoir size, strong brew options, and travel mug compatibility can significantly enhance your daily coffee experience.

Budget Planning

Budget is always an important consideration when investing in a new appliance. While it might be tempting to go for the cheapest option, remember that a slightly higher investment can often lead to greater durability, better features, and a more satisfying coffee experience in the long run. We’ve included options that cater to various price points, from budget-friendly choices that still deliver quality to more premium models with advanced functionalities. Factor in the cost of pods or filters if you’re leaning towards a specific brewing method. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is a single use coffee maker?

A: A single use coffee maker, also known as a single-serve coffee maker, is designed to brew one cup of coffee at a time. These machines are typically compact and use either pre-portioned pods (like K-Cups) or a small amount of ground coffee to make a fresh beverage quickly and efficiently.

Q: Are single use coffee makers worth it?

A: Yes, many people find single use coffee makers to be incredibly worth it for their convenience, speed, and ability to brew fresh coffee on demand. They minimize waste compared to brewing a full pot, offer variety with different pod flavors, and are perfect for individuals or small households where only one or two cups are consumed daily.

Q: Can I use ground coffee in a single use coffee maker?

A: Absolutely! While many single-serve machines are famous for K-Cups, many models, including several in our roundup, come with a reusable filter basket that allows you to use your own favorite ground coffee. This offers greater flexibility and can be more cost-effective and environmentally friendly. Look for a single cup coffee maker that doesn’t use pods if you prefer grounds.

Q: How often should I descale my single use coffee maker?

A: It’s generally recommended to descale your single use coffee maker every 3-6 months, or more frequently if you have hard water. Descaling removes mineral buildup that can affect taste and machine performance. Some advanced models even include a handy descaling reminder light to prompt you.

Q: Do single use coffee makers make coffee hot enough?

A: Most modern single use coffee makers are designed to brew coffee at an optimal temperature, usually between 195-205°F (90-96°C), which is hot enough for a satisfying cup. However, factors like pre-warming your mug or adding cold milk/creamer can affect the final temperature in your cup.
