Customer Review: Small and Mighty. I just bought this panini machine because I like toasted sandwiches. Getting out a frying pan and putting butter in to toast your sandwich take time and it’s messy. Then you need to cleanup the pan.This is the perfect sized machine for one person’s’ sandwich. I brushed some olive on the grill and placed my sandwich on it and in around 5 minutes it was done! Cheese was melted, bread toasted awesomest in every bite! Some people have complained about the small size, but I feel it’s a blessing. I highly recommend this product and it will open completely flat to create a larger flat grill if you need it.

Customer Review: My daughter was happily surprised to get this for Christmas and has been using it almost everyday since, it’s now the middle of Feb. She makes pancakes, has cooked bacon and used the grill side for paninis on sandwich bread and subway type rolls and grilled cheese. No issues with uneven cooking, she puts the bread slightly to the rear and the lid will slowly keep closing as the sandwich warms. Each side has consistently been browned the same. Now I have to experiment with what breads are better than others, ingredients, etc. That has nothing to do with the machine, but just saying theres a lot of different creative options to try. I was told good bakery bread works better, and maybe it does, but I think I want to try cheap pre-sliced wheat with sparse ingredients and make a pressed flat crispy old-school “grandma’s grilled cheese” style. While it lacks any sort of temperature control, the grills on it are really quality & it’s so easy to use it hardly matters. Turns any sandwich from subpar to almost restaurant quality within 5 minutes. It’s easy to clean, I just wipe it down with an alcohol wipe once it’s cooled down. It’s a bit chunky, but fits fine in my cupboards with a designated spot. Good purchase. I’d recommend coating the bread on your sandwich with some butter though, it tends to over crisp the outside edges sometimes.

Customer Review: The MultiMaker is a versatile well designed electric mini-grill. It has adequate heat (1000 watts) and applies heat from both sides. The top grill pivots so that it can press sandwiches and other food items of various thicknesses. It heats from both sides. My first few uses shows that it builds up good heat and truly grills whatever you have in there — in my case sandwiches and some egg plant slices, — and if not watched, will even burn things. It does not have a temp control and I imagine that means it is on “full” all the time that it is plugged in. For my use, this wasn’t a problem, as I wanted it to grill/toast in a short period of time and had no use for anything other than full power. It grilled a relatively thick sandwich in about 4-5 minutes. The big drawback of electric grills is cleaning them as you are faced with potentially exposing sensitive parts to water if you just put it in the sink. The MultiMaker avoids that problem by using removable grill plates that can be cleaned separately and replaced. Honestly, removable plates was a “deal breaker” for me as a unit that cannot be easily cleaned will not be used. Great work by the design team on this one given removable plates seems to b a feature that only shows up on very expensive products. The unit I received came with two substitute plates to make it a flat grill, but I have only used the grill marked plates as that’s what I perceive as its best contribution in my kitchen. The only drawback someone might have is that the overall size is relatively small, though still adequate for a full sized sandwich, or even two on square pieces of bread. It fits my needs perfectly. At a price that is lower than most unpowered grill presses, it is a fantastic deal and will have a continuing role in my kitchen. Excellent!

Customer Review: I’ve bought and returned or thrown out multiple waffle irons that broke the 2nd time they were used or were so poorly made that I was afraid to use them or that had knobs and switches that fell off or were uncleanable.This one is simple. No switches. No knobs. Plug it in to turn it on. Unplug it to turn it off. Plates attach easily, securely, come off easily and clean simply. Well designed drip tray. I have a feeling I’ll be using this for a long time to come.Hard to actually find a well made quality product anymore. This is one.
