Come with lids so the water doesn’t spill when you go to put them in the freezer. If you have any physical conditions that limit your use of energy like autoimmune, neuromuscular conditions or even just Raynauds they’re a must have. I can fill them in the morning and empty them in the evening, then fill them back up and ice is ready again when I wake up. Takes 4/5 days to fill a gallon sized ziplock bag, while using a half a tray of ice each day. So it could be less if you’re not using some as you make it. The cubes are smaller than usual so they can fit in any cup or water bottle I have which is a huge plus. Can stack them easily if you want, excellent quality silicone. They’re still rectangular just smaller than your average ice tray. If you need a lot of ice fast (more than stated above) I’d suggest 4-8 trays.

Customer Review: These little ice cube trays are great for the freezer because they have a soft bottom that makes it easy to pop the ice cubes out of once they’re frozen. They’re easy to clean and pop in the dishwasher to sanitize them and use a handy lid on them to keep the water from spilling out and protected in the freezer. The lid seals really well so you don’t have to worry about spills. They are easy to bend to break the cubes free and I love that it comes with a bin to hold the ice you’ve made while you make more. These are really nice quality, I was pleasantly surprised because they weren’t super expensive. Highly recommend!

I will live without an ice maker for a while.Now that the central heat is back on though, I occasionally want a drink with ice, so looked for an ice cube tray.Now, somehow I’ve become old, so when I think ice cube tray, I think those prehistoric aluminum ones with the flaps and lever. Remember those? You had to use leverage with that icy handle to get your cubes, risking frostbite in the process. Forcing them out meant breaking cubes, and was like arm wrestling for ice, and my arm wrestling days are long over. (Well, truthfully, they never really started.)Well my fellow seniors, it’s much easier now. For only $13.00 I got four ice cube trays-with lids-a bin to put the ice in-with a lid-and even a scoop so my hands don’t touch the cubes. The silicone tray releases the cubes with a simple twist and you drop the ice right into your container, cover it up and keep it cold. And because you have covered trays you can make ice well in advance of a party.It’s a thoughtful design. The trays have lids so you aren’t spilling water everywhere, the containers for the actual cubes has a lid, and you can stay ahead of your ice cube making. And the scoop, such a good touch.I’ll call a repairman this summer when I save some money. Or not.

Customer Review: Really nice ice trays. The cubes are about 1-1/4 inch squares. This is a good size for the cubes. The trays are sturdy and the lids lock on tightly. I know it has been mentioned there is no lid for the ice bucket. This is not a problem for me as I don’t want to remove a lid every time I grab a few ice-cubes. Not expensive so easily worth the price. I bought the light blue, $1 cheaper and no difference between this and the black.

Customer Review: I really like these they work really well. I love that they aren’t silicone so my ice doesn’t smell weird. The cubes are a good size and you get so many of them with the two trays even just one is still a good amount.. I like that there’s a lid on each of the trays so that the water doesn’t spill out upon transfer to your freezer after filling it and you can stack them a lot better with the lid on. They came out very easily from the first tray. It was a little bit more challenging on the second but all you really need to do is run a little bit of cold water over it and dump it out with a bit of light twisting. It’ll do enough to loosen the ice cubes if you do it cold, but they won’t melt. I would say it still works better than a lot of standard plastic ice trays. I’ve really small hands. I think it looks visually fine, better than standard ice trays. I like the colors available. I got black and turquoise because they were a dollar cheaper at the time. I don’t know why people complain about the design though because it’s just an ice tray. It’s not the centerpiece of your dining room table.

Customer Review: Cube size is perfect for fruit puree to make smoothies. Each cube is approximately 3oz (liquid) each. I fill trays with pre-blended fruit puree I make from frozen berry mix. I recommend thawing fruit first and using an Emerson blender (or vita mix blender) to a smooth consistency and fill trays to the brim. Leave in freezer for no fuss smoothies in the AM. Less mess and no bags to open/close, just drop 2-3oz cubes into a ninja, add protein powder, vitamins and choice of milk/yogurt…I use Kefir…and a squirter of honey. So yummy.Cubes are good for daquiries or as a treat on their own.

Customer Review: These are great! Our Samsung fridge has the world’s WORST ice maker. It jams CONSTANTLY. When it doesn’t jam, it spills ice everywhere after you finish pressing the dispenser button/lever. To unjam it you need to open the slide out box, which again spills ice everywhere. etc. We actually bought a new fridge to replace the not too old Samsung, but unfortunately, had to return it since it didn’t fit properly into the space. (Darn all these nice new models with the 7 inch thick doors that are too thick to open next to an alcove wall!) Anyway, these silicon ice trays are awesome, for ice trays. Ice trays by nature are “old school” and in a perfect, modern world I would personally have less use for them. But if you don’t want a behemoth ice-maker on your counter top and have an idiotic fridge ice dispenser made by the Devil Himself, then these ice trays are a god send. I tried some inexpensive plastic trays previously, but after less than a year, they cracked and needed to be replace. The cube size in those plastic trays was also quite small. These silicon ice trays are perfect… perfect size, extremely sturdy & flexible, easy to clean, etc. The lids form a seal so they don’t spill water when placing them in the freezer. The silicon keeps them from picking up any food smells. The flexibility makes the cubes fairly easy to remove. They make great ice cubes. They were a bit pricey compared to the cheap plastic trays, but I think they are totally worth it.

Customer Review: Trying to eliminate plastics in my kitchen, I got rid of all my plastic ice cube trays – I do not have an ice maker – and purchased beautiful stainless steel ice cube trays like the ones used when I was a little girl. Turned out that they were miserable. I did not have the strength to break the ice cubes free from the tray and would wind up with a bunch of ice chunks. Soooooo those lovely stainless steel ice cube trays found their way into the donation box.Voila. Food grade silicone is the next best thing and the safest option versus plain old plastic. These wonderful ice cube trays are incredible! Watching the videos, I learned that they are designed not only for ice cubes but for making baby foods as well. Inside each cup are measurements if you are making food for your baby. What a thoughtful feature! Since I only need ice cubes, this isn’t important for me, it’s just a great feature. These are pretty colors. They are small enough to fit nicely in my freezer tray which is specifically designed for ice cube trays. They have covers which keeps the ice from absorbing odors as well as keeping it clean. I’m so glad I found these. Arthritic hands love the ease with which the ice comes out of these as well.

Customer Review: Easy to fill, freeze, and empty! Love the sliding cover which protects the tray from spilling as well as keeping the frozen cubes clean. I take time to level the water by tilting the tray and not overfilling it. The trip to the freezer hasn’t left a water trail yet! 🙂 A twist and a nudge releases the cubes. Well designed with the sliding cover and the rounded bottom for each cube. Cost a bit more, but well worth it! I highly recommend this double tray pack.

Come to find out, he worked with OXO and is a renowned expert on product design, and is in demand through his projects and lectures. He and his team, or whoever he worked with, designed some of the most well-thought out, easy to use products. They’re intuitive, innovative, and decidedly superior and I have a kitchen full of OXO products.Here’s an example: The sliding covers can be opened at either end, and don’t automatically assign a “direction,” which is handy. Plus, they snap reassuringly into place and they don’t allow leaks.Another is the shape of the cubes: They’re not square but rectangular, which allows for the glass or container to be filled but not overfilled. And, they are rounded at the bottom, which allows you to slide the cube out with one finger from both directions. The trays stack beautifully and are good space savers, helpful in my sometimes overstuffed freezer.In short, who would have thought a simple unassuming little item like an ice cube tray could be so beautifully well thought out and geared for human use? I’ve fought ice cube trays for years, having to run hot water on them and banging, wrenching, and twisting trays and disliking what I had to do just to get some ice. Customer Review: Surprisingly it took a while for me to settle on these trays, there are a lot of rubbish/complicated trays out there. I live in Hawaii where it is always HOT so lots of ice is a MUST! This set comes with 4 trays (we were down to 2 and it was becoming a serious issue…for real ). I like that these trays are simple and basic/nothing fancy or complicated. I really appreciate that they are stackable no matter which way you face it (no more broken hearts when you go to stack your two ice trays of water and the top one sinks to the bottom of the lower one overflowing the water). Also, the plastic feels sturdy enough to last but not so frigid that it cracks when you twist them. Ive been using these trays daily since I got them and they have held up to 5 kids and a rugged hubby wonderfully.
