When I bought this I figured if it turned out that the sensor was finicky and frustrating I would just use the handle and ignore the sensor but thus far I am very much into the sensor and hardly ever opting for the handle (except out of habit). The sensor is extremely sensitive so you don’t have to worry about having to wave your hands around like a crazy person trying to make it turn on or off. Just put your hand in front of it on the left side and water is immediately on or off. There’s no waving or hunting for the right spot at all.I can see the plastic box mounted on the wall under the sink that contains the AA batteries (I can’t recall how many) so it won’t be difficult to change them when the time comes. It’ll be interesting to see how long they last. Hopefully it won’t be too frequent.Aesthetically, I think it looks great. It has a clean, simple, transitional design, not overtly modern or overtly country farm house but it really could work in either.I appreciate the higher placement of the handle, not so low like my older one that got very close to the counter and was hard to wipe clean and dry underneath. I also like the long hose of the pull down sprayer. It is longer than my old faucet which allows me to more easily cover the whole sink.Overall I am very pleased with my new faucet and I like that Moen provides a lifetime warranty, just in case.”

Well written step-by-step directions and thoughtful installation tools are included in the box; there was no need to YouTube anything except how to get my OLD faucet disconnected!. There are extra pieces to a motion sink, such as the battery pack AND the connections go into a small plastic box that has to clip onto the faucet stem, rather than supply lines going directly to the faucet head. I was a little worried about all this stuff fitting in with my air gap tubes and soap dispenser, but if fit and functions better than the old pull-down faucet did. Despite all the differences from a traditional faucet, the installation took about the same amount of time as it took me to remove my old faucet. We have yet to see how well the motion feature hold up, but upon initial setup and use, this faucet is beautiful and easy to use. The motion feature can easily be disengaged and it can also be controlled with the lever, even when the motion feature is on.”

And I am not handy with tools. Instructions were clear to understand. Matching soap dispenser a bonus. I love touchless feature. No more cross contamination fears. And when filling my dishpan, it cuts off at just the right amount of water. The pull head weight is much cheaper feeling than expected. But it stays up in docking area well. (Would have liked a magnetic dock) Swivel neck has smooth movement to access all corners of the double sink. I do recommend keeping a small cloth under the sensor so that when waving “off” drips from hand do not get on the deck plate. It does get water marks occasionally. But these wipe away easily. Customer Review: “Moen Halle Spot Resist Nickel Widespread Bathroom FaucetThe day after I clicked “buy” on one of these, the price jumped from $80 to $167. After installing it, which was easy, we decided to get a second one, but I wasn’t going to pay that much. So, I moved it to “saved for later” and watched the price. A couple of weeks later, it dropped to $74 and I bought one immediately (price was over $160 the next day). Forewarned is forearmed.These faucets replaced Pfister brand faucets that started to leak out of the handles (which I’d never seen). A nice installation feature of these Moen’s is that the included under counter hoses connecting the spout, hot, and cold can be removed (to be reattached later) by pressing a button with a finger. This is critical if, like me, you inadvertently install the hot valve on the cold side and vice versa (I know, you wouldn’t do such a thing!); and have to redo the install.I don’t understand the handful of bad reviews that claim poor quality. From my experience in installing maybe 100 faucets of every kind imaginable, these are well designed and good quality. The all brass valve assembly is quite heavy for example. Yes, there is some plastic — but virtually all faucets have some plastic parts. For the last few years, I’ve bought only Moen faucets, as they have been the most reliable for us.”
