Customer Review: This was our 3rd hood that we purchased – all for the same thing: as a replacement for an old range hood that was dingy and no longer matched my appliances. The first one we purchased was broken – just bad luck. The 2nd one was better, but once installed, it was in the way of my corner cupboard door. So we removed that one and found this one on Amazon. Most important for us, the front angled in, so the cupboard door would clear it. It seemed perfect, but was way cheaper than the other model, and cheaper than many others on here. It is rather plain, not fancy. The other one we bought had 2 LED lights and 2 vent screens that covered the entire underside, which was nice. This one has one really bright LED light right in the center. It illuminates the entire stove top, and some of the surrounding countertop. The vent screen is a normal old-school screen right in the middle. The underside is open, but so was my old one, so that was fine. It was easy to wire into the existing wires from the old one. Just had to match up the colors of the wires! It was super-easy to install. It was very light, so I was able to hold it up while my husband screwed it into the existing structure. It fit perfectly! It looks like it will be easy to clean, as it is not textured (my old one was textured and it was AWFUL to clean!!!) The fan has 2 speeds and is not any louder than my old one – maybe even a little quieter. It has 2 rocker switches – one for light, one for fan. Pretty basic, but everything you need for a nice-looking hood that works just fine. I would recommend it to anyone, especially for the price.
