Customer Review: “Because of various code issues, and my distrust of my own abilities, I did not install this inside my house. However, it was an easy install on my outdoor kitchen. I just had to find a place where it would fit and be out of the elements. I hooked up my spare propane and the kitchen island already had power, and that’s pretty much the hardest parts of the install. The water took a little while to heat up but I think that’s because it’s really cold outside right now. But once the water flowed a bit, subsequent flow heated up quicker. I think the water remaining in the exchanger is warmer than the water pulled from the supply so heated up faster.I didn’t have the flow to the max. I rarely have the need for it in the outside kitchen anyway. But using it like I usually do, just enough so my hands don’t freeze, it was literally an endless stream of hot water. So temper your expectations and use it accordingly, and I don’t think you’ll have any issue with it.I have a smaller one that is portable and is intended for RV and camping, but this one should definitely be used fixed in place. The exhaust is really hot, and should be routed so that you don’t smell it all the time. Be very, very careful about that because you may worry less with it outside, the fire is a constant danger. But use common sense, and you’ll be fine.”

How many times are you using hot water at more than a coupe of showers? They have you add in the kitchen, washing machine and all the sinks. The smaller (cheaper) unit cranks out hot water just as hot as the biggest unit.We have 5 tankless units at 3 houses and the cheapest one I bought almost 30 years ago (they still sell it today and it is still the cheapest) is still cranking and I have done zero maintenance on it.
