Weird World of Water Review
Elmer’s has created a new fun way for kids to experiment with science at home. The Weird World of Water activity kit, based off the Discovery Channel’s #1 show Myth Busters, includes lots of things for your child to play with and learn from. Myth busting things like how how water freezes and boils and turns into gas, among other things. There are three different kits: Power of Air Pressure, Forces of Flight and Weird World of Water. My oldest daughter (8) had a blast with this and so did my younger two. This really is a great learning activity for the whole family.
This is a picture of everything that came in our kit. With enough for four different experiments.
To do the water funnel you have to fill up one of the bottles with water and add confetti.
And start shakin! Here’s a small video of my daughter and dad playing with it.
And here are some photos of my kids having a great time with it.
This hands on, trial and error fun helps your kids see and learn through doing instead of watching someone else do it (i.e. teacher or someone on t.v.). There are four different activities in the set that you can do and play with, but my daughter’s fave so far is the tornado one since she could keep doing it over and over again and get better and faster each time. The activity came with directions and was easy to follow. This game was just received the Family Fun Magazine 2009 T.O.Y. award.
What she liked about the Weird World of Water kit: She liked that it was something she could do with only a little help from an adult. She got to do something with her own hands and learn how things worked. She had lots of questions and was very eager to hear the answers and see how everything worked.
What I didn’t like about our kit: While she had a lot of fun with the funnel experiment she really wanted to do the rocket one but we were missing a piece so we were not able to do it. She was pretty disappointed by that.
Overall it was a really fun activity and my daughter is already asking for a different one for Christmas. She is really interested in science and history so this activity was perfect for her. If your child has an interest in science and the way things work then they will probably like this and have fun with it while learning. It’s a wonderful gift idea!
I did receive a product to review for free from Team Mom. But all thoughts
and opinions are my own. I was not paid for this review.

Oh I could so see my kids having a blast with things like these, I will for sure be looking to see if I can find them here. Your girl is so funny in that video trying to shake those bottles. Great Review
