Updates from me

This has been a crazy couple of weeks, I’m so busy that I don’t even know where to start with all of it. I can’t wait for it all to be done so I can finally relax.

Yesterday we had Little Miss’s Special Education/IEP meeting which went better than I thought it would…well kinda. We did get a morning class for her which is fabulous because then she can still take her naps. We were worried she would get afternoons. During the meeting it was…overwhelming to say the least. Hearing numbers on where she’s at and what issues they see are not the easiest things to hear. Like hearing that she is developing at a 17 mo. age in one area and 21-24 mo. range in another and so on, when she’s almost 36 mo. is hard. I knew she was behind but I was thinking more along the lines of 24 mo…NOT 17-24 months! We were going to have her start on the 8th of March but since Spring Break is the following week we are going to hold off until the 22nd of March so we don’t have to go through this transition twice. She is going to go for 3 hours a day, four days a week. I’m still a little nervous but feeling better than I was previously. I know she’ll be ok and after a while will understand that I will always come back for her…she’s stuck with me!

Today I called about the carpet and we are finally getting it installed on Saturday! Woot woot!!! I have a ton of work to do before then, getting everything packed and down to the basement, getting beds taken apart and so on. It will be worth it though on Sunday morning when I wake up to beautiful carpet in my house!

And I have to say that I am loving Craigslist…well I was on Sunday anyway. I have been looking for some bedroom pieces for Little Man since he is getting his own room as soon as the carpet is down. And I found the cutest dresser and nightstand on Craigslist from a lady close by us for only $75. It’s practically brand new and looks great! He is going to love this. And while I was there she offered me her twin sized mattress, box spring and frame for $100. Of course I asked if she would come down on it a little and she was so sweet she said, ‘Well you’re so nice and I like you so you can have it for $50.’ I about fell over!!! So now his bedroom is done for only $125! SWEET!

However, I am also annoyed with Craigslist and all the stupid, idiotic scammers that are on there. If I find one more car that I love that is in our price range only to be told that they will ship it to me I’m gonna jump through my computer screen carrying a big ‘ol can of whoop ass! STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE! I will NOT buy your ‘car’ and have you ship it to me from East Butt$*%# without seeing it first and taking it to my mechanic! DUH!  And no, I will not pay you for a car that is marked $1900 over the Kelley Blue Book value. Get real! So that’s my vent on craigslist.

I am also still redoing La De Daa Designs and have been working my tail off trying to get it perfect (on a testblog of course) and hopefully will have it done by the end of the week. Cross your fingers for me.

And of course I have some FABULOUS CRAZY good news but I can’t share it just yet. And NO, I’m not pregnant…don’t even think those words! Let’s just say I have an amazingly awesome review coming up that I can’t wait to share with all of you!
