Today was part one of Little Miss’s evaluations to see if she will qualify for Early Childhood Special Education in our area. The day she turns three she will no longer be able to participate in the program she is in for her Speech, Developmental and Occupational therapies so getting her into special education so that she can still receive therapy is muy important!
I was really nervous about the meeting. Getting everyone up and ready, off to school, breakfast and making it there on time. I was also hoping that she would show her true colors and be a candidate for this program. As nervous as I was it was a success. Everyone up and out the door, no breakfast (or coffee…ugg) for anyone but we did make it there on time. It didn’t last as long as I had thought it would but I think she did ‘good’. She even impressed them with her best ‘Best of Both Worlds’ performance while holding a wand-looking toy. lol
Now we have to wait for our part two evaluation where they will evaluate her in social/emotional, behavior and sensory. If all goes well then on Feb. 20 (our meeting date) I will find out if she qualifies and then come March she will (hopefully) be going to pre-school and receiving her therapies so that she does not regress. Cross your fingers for us!
I’ll update more later when I can.

Oh I’m so happy it went well today. Hopefully the next one will also , I know how much you want her to be able to go to school in March .
