I completely agree with picking your battles. Plus it's a little something she feels she has control over. Totally helps her develop a sense of self not to mention self confidence. Last summer my then four year old wanted to go out wearing two different colored striped dress socks, b-ball shorts, crocs, and a red shirt. We went out for pizza-my husband was flabbergasted-the boy was happy as could be! :) LOVE it! I completely agree with picking your battles.
