This weekend was pumpkin patch time! We were originally going to go just the five of us but since it’s supposed to rain all week we figured we’d go on Sunday with my parents but minus my husband. We still had a blast though! I got the kids all dressed in their Halloween shirts (we usually do their costumes so they have one more day to wear them but decided not to since I still didn’t’ have Little Miss’s costume finished yet. Yes, I’m making hers this year because I’m crazy!) and headed out for some pumpkin fun.
There was so much to look at, play with and do while we were there. Cows, sheep, pigs and chickens were available for kids to see, although Little Miss decided that everyone of them should be a horse, so she was ‘naaay’ing‘ at all of them. ‘Ok ok ok…I get it! You want to see the horses!‘ So we head over to where the horses are and guess what? They’re giving out pony rides! Wooo hooo!!! My kids have been begging to do this for so long. It was a whopping $5 per person for all of about 3 minutes but was well worth it; the kids had a blast!!!!
We even saw a couple MomDotters there! lmao
There was also a fun blow up, scary maze for kids to go through. My older two loved that! My ‘favorite’ part was trying my best to snap a picture of Little Miss smiling. I swear she does it…I just don’t have any photos to prove it…until now! (wink wink! Candy corn can get you anything! lol) And the other two were also bribed ready to pose for me! lol Here are my favorites from the day.
LOOK!!! She’s smiling!!! Could this mean…*gasp* that she’s having…FUN?
Finally, we have our 3 pretty pumpkins which we will carve tomorrow night with daddy and then make some yummy caramel apples. And yes, she does think they’re all hers! lol
What are your Halloween traditions that you do with your kids and family every year?

aww so adorable.
I love how they are all decked out in their Halloween attire! We don’t have a lot of traditions right now, but we need to make some. Sometimes it’s hard because Chan’s birthday is the day after Halloween. Love that you documented this. Looks like such a fun time.
Thanks! Yes, every year they *have* to have some Halloween Ts! They had so much fun….they do every year. This is the same pumpkin patch that I have been going to since I was a baby so it’s fun to carry on the traditions!
Aww love all the pictures, we don’t really have many traditions for Halloween. I do need to go and get a pumpkin. Maybe I will do that on Wednesday.
Adorable shots!! Love the MomDots..lol.
Austin’s birthday is 2 days after Halloween. Last year we went to a patch that was not fun, too hot! And this year I dropped the ball and totally forgot that we should have gone this weekend. DOH!
Well Happy early birthday to little Austin!
Hope you have fun!
That looks like sooo much fun! And wow – those are sooo cute MomDotters! I’m so jealous you gotta meet them!
Your kids are so dang adorable!!! They MUST get their looks from you!
lol Brittany, nope, it’s not from me. I don’t know how they got so cute! lol
We dress The Diva up in her Halloween shirt/outfit when we go to the pumpkin patch too. LOL I thought I was the only one! heh
I saw some MomDotters at our pumpkin patch too. It was also on Sunday. Is Sunday Momdot pumpkin patch day?
You kids are so cute! And what is up with Little Miss’s not smiling? She is so adorable, what’s there to be unhappy about? LMAO
I KNOW…I have a Drama Queen, er, preschooler, too.
I don’t know Shan, she is just always so serious, crabby and shy. She doesn’t like to smile for the camera. You have to catch her unexpectedly.
Looks like you were at Rombachs on Sunday. We were there, too!!
Super cuteness! It looks like they all had a fun time and the momdotters were awesome to see too!
ps, I love how you decorated your header – looks great!
Thanks Heather! Wait until you see my thanksgiving one! lol
That just looks so much fun!! I haven’t gotten the chance to take the girls to the Pumpkin Patch but I hope I can!
We really don’t have anything yet. My husband hates carving pumpkins, so we haven’t really done that. I have bought pumpkins before, but I don’t think they ever ended up being carved. With my dd getting older, I said we have to get and carve pumpkins this year. I want to take her to a pumpkin patch, but I don’t really know where any are around here. That and I think it’s going to snow here, so I don’t know if we’ll make it.
Oh Trisha, I hope you get to carve some this year. I’m sure your Little Miss would love it! It is a PIA sometimes but the smiles and giggles are so worth the effort. And snow? Yuck!
They’re absolutely adorable! My kids don’t usually smile in the photos when I’m taking the pictures, but for others that take pictures they are hams! We have a pumpkin patch we visit every year as tradition too, which includes a pony ride similar to yours. This year my oldest son graduated from a pony to a horse, so he’s been estatic about it!
How cool Maria! I’m sure one of my kids would love to take riding lessons! Hope you have fun at your pumpkin patch!
We are so lucky to have friends who include us in their pumpkin patch outing…. Very similar to yours, there are ponies (ours was only $3 – we’re probably more out-in-the-middle-of-nowhere), a corn maze, a tractor ride. Then we build a campfire, roast hot dogs, make smores and when it gets dark, go in the Corn Maze. It’s so fun to duck into the corn, turn off your flashlight and then jump out and scare the bejeebees out of each other!
That sounds like a lot of fun! I’d love to scare my husband…he always does that kind of stuff to me! lol
