I am so excited to announce that I got the phone call today that I’ve been waiting for. Little Miss has qualified for Special Education Preschool and will start in about three weeks. I can’t believe it! My baby…BABY will be in preschool! Where did the time go?
*sigh*
The only problem I’m having right now is that they only have an opening in the afternoon class. And let me tell ya, they are NOT going to want her coming in there four days a week with no nap!!!! *understatement of the year alert!!!* She is a bear if she hasn’t had her nap. And most of y’all know, she is a BIG napper! She naps from 12 until 4pm…5pm if I didn’t wake her. And then she goes to bed for the night around 7:30. Seriously, this girl is either going to be 10′ tall or she is just one sleepy little girl! But either way, they need to find a morning class or she isn’t going to be the only one needing some therapy…those teachers will be going nuts.
She also qualified for Occupational Therapy, Developemental Therapy, Music Therapy, Language Therapy and Nutrition so we can start her special diet soon. Then in the Fall Little Man will be starting Kindergarten and Sassy Pants will be in fourth grade. What am I going to do when all of my babies are in school?
- nap
- play online
- clean the house
- catch up on some of my favorite shows
- start blogging more
- do some laundry
- start a new project
- try to get some new fun reviews and giveaways for y’all!
- organize the closets, sock drawers and cabinets…hmmm…well maybe.
- try to get some more orders for graphic design and wordpress work.
- cry because of empty nest syndrome
- relax
Seriously though, it’s going to be a huge shock when I don’t have to randomly tell someone to stop touching someone else, stop picking their nose, stop painting on the walls, stop hiding my makeup under their beds, start listening and I won’t even have to yell, ‘For the love of Pete…go to your room!’ every ten minutes. Well, that is until they all come home. I’m worried that my voice might go away if I don’t have all those opportunities to use it all day.
We’ll see what happens. I’m sure my husband and kids wouldn’t mind if I lost my voice. lol

I’m so happy Little Miss was able to get in. I know you are nervous about all this but try and be clam hun. These people are trained to deal with children and I’m sure Little Miss will love it. I know you will once you get over the nervousness.
That’s awesome that she qualified for all of that! The first day of preschool for my oldest was a GODSEND! My husband was deployed, and a friend of ours was a teacher there, and got him in. I loved having those 3 mornings a week to hit the gym or just grocery shop alone. For our youngest, I think I’m going to hold off another year. Not that we both wouldn’t like preschool, but next year will be the last school year for my husband in his current job. After that we have no idea if we’ll be moving from this area or not. I’d prefer to get him started in the area where he’ll be attending Kindergarten so he’s on the same page as the other kids.
I don’t blame you at all for wanting to wait if you have possibly plans on moving.
