So when I posted about my son taking gumballs in the baby’s room and how they were everywhere, well I have realized that I jinxed myself. I thought, ‘I’ll blog about it and then figure out a solution and he won’t do that anymore.‘ HA! Nope! I mean, yes, he did learn his lesson about gumballs but that (to him) just means he has to find something else. Doing household chores while they’re ‘sleeping’ isn’t working so well anymore at.all!
The next day while I was cleaning the study (still) Little Man was watching cartoons in my bed with a small snack while his sister was still sleeping.
Me: ‘When you finish your snack you can come downstairs with me and be my helper…ok?! Don’t go in the baby’s room.’
HIM: ‘Ok mama.’
I hear some noise, running and then laughter but I hadn’t heard the baby so I assumed all was well. But to be safe I went to check. YEP! He was at it again. This time with Goldfish! Did you know that those things leave some nasty grease stains? Ugg…we had a long talk, a timeout and then off to do more laundry and stain removal.
The next day comes along and whad’ya know? This time it was suckers!
Do you see how many she has her hands? FIVE!!!Five freakin suckers! And he had about four in his hands…probably more but he eats them like they’re going out of style and then throws the sticks away before anyone sees. I swear he is the sneakiest child I have ever met in my life and is dead set on disobeying me. Is this a sign that I’m going to have an anti authority teen running around some day? God help me!

I don’t know about the teenage years but YIKES! Maybe put an alarm on the baby’s door LOL
LOL What in the world are doing with that much junkfood hanging out? (coming from the junkfood queen
We learned quickly to put the sweet stuff high on the pantry shelves. One morning I left my Hershey Hugs sitting on my desk and Kaydee got up about 10 minutes before I did. The little bugger learned how to open door knobs.ugh. and I woke up to a bed full of empty foil wrappers…about a dozen of them.
Holy cow! I must be a mean mama I don’t buy suckers but the kids get TONS at Halloween! I know its bad but I do love the photo!
LOL Oh no girls! These suckers were up HIGH on TOP of the fridge! My beautiful, sneaky little boy moves chairs over to the counter and climbs up and gets them down!!! And yes, we’re moving them!
We use the suckers as part of Little Miss’s therapy for her oral/speech therapy. She over stuffs her mouth with food until she almost chokes so we give her one sucker every day (or sometimes twice depending on the day) and it helps ‘wake up’ her mouth so she will be able to sense more. (All part of SPD.) Really we dont have much junk in our house…we don’t eat it. But the gumballs were for their chore chart/chore jar and like I said hte suckers are for therapy. lol
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh I see now that makes total sense. And holy cow your son is one smart cookie!!
(I don’t trust my 6 year old one bit with gum or candy she is way messy so we keep it away, but I do hide chocolate!!)
Little boys can be stinkers! =)
Well, he’s just being a good big brother and taking care of his little sis! LOL! This is something my 3yr old would totally do with her little brother!
My little brother was always really sneaky when we were kids. My mom had to resort to hanging jingle bells from door he wa not supposed to enter. It is an easy trick if you want to try that one.
hahahah Im sorry to laugh, But some day you will look back and laugh too/. Im there with my 2 year old son
Well I can totally relate to you hun, Olivia has just realized she can move the chairs to get to things. Have you thought about getting those plastic door covers so that he won’t be able to open the door! We have them on every door in the house.
Huggs
Now that is what I call dedication to something you love! Just making sure mama is on her toes!!!
Ü
LOL kam came in the other day with 4 suckers! I about died!! We don’t buy junk a lot but man oh man!!! These kids KNOW how to get what they want!
LMAO! She is a cutie. But, what the heck were you thinkin? Candy is put in the cabinet up high so no one can reach but me! That is just too cute though!
Kids totally crack me up sometimes.
That photo is adorable. I love Christine’s jingle bells idea. I think all our junk food is going to go in one cabinet with bells hung from the handle… not only for the kids, but so every time I sneak a snack they catch me and I’ll stop eating junk food all the time lol.
