Happy Easter!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

easter

I won’t be on much tomorrow so I wanted to drop a little note and just tell everyone happy Easter from my family to yours! I hope your day is filled with blessings, family togetherness and loads of chocolate bunnies!

For those of you that are reading this I would love to hear your Easter family traditions. Do you dye eggs? Do you dress up nice and go to Easter mass? Do you do Easter egg hunts in your yard? Tell me what you do and what you favorite Easter memory was as a child.

Here’s what we do:

Get up early to see if Mr. Easter Bunny came to our house, even though when I “called” him he said he wouldn’t because nobody had been being very good. lol Go through the baskets, hunt for the eggs in our living room (because Mr. Easter Bunny is too lazy knows that I don’t want them to get their Easter clothes all dirty outside.) And then we head off to church with my parents and sister. Then my kids are always so surprised that Mr. Easter Bunny stopped by their nana and papa’s house too. But he didn’t care if they got their Easter clothes dirty over there because he hid them outside at their house.  After that we always have a wonderful brunch with a wonderful ham and all the sides you can think of. YUMM!!!

My favorite Easter memory as a child:

I remember waking up to see the the Easter Bunny had left loads of goodies for us. We had been great decent! We were so excited to find that the Easter Bunny had hid hard boiled eggs all over the house. We searched until we found them all. Or so we thought! A couple days later we found smelled one more! YUCK! Then after church we changed clothes and went on an Easter egg hunt at a local park. It was a good day!

So what do you do?

    I remember finding/hiding Easter eggs as a child. We did not have a lot of $$ for Easter goodies but my parents always got us a little something.

    Stefanie, I remember you posting about wanting some cute headbands. I am not sure if these will work for your DD but I put some in my daughter’s Easter basket and there is a pic on my blog. Check them out: http://writegal.com/2009/04/12/whats-in-your-easter-basket/

    Happy Easter!! :)

    I hope you had a great Easter! I remember going on hunts when we were little where my mom would write up clues in each egg as to where the next would be found. It was so fun, and at the end of the hunt, we were lead to our baskets.

    My Grandparents used to fill ONE plastic egg with $5. I found it EVERY YEAR! LOL That was the best! Now, they still do it and I laugh to see which small kid gets it and thinks they are RICH {like I did!}
