Are we going to have babies soon? OMG! I thought I was done for a while…guess not! No, not me but my dog, Princess Chalupa. Princess is about 6  1/2 years old and the tiniest little runt of a Chihuahua. A while back our neighbor got a Shitzue puppy and ever since the first day her new dog, Sid, was in their yard her dog and my dog became best friends. They run along the fence line together, bark, play and lick each other through the fence. Awww….it’s puppy love!

Well almost a month ago my neighbor was holding Princess in her yard. Sid was sitting there crying for her, as he always does when he wants her attention. She was going to put Princess down a little so they could smell each other or give puppy kisses when she jumped…right out of her arms and into their yard.

CRAP!

Do I even have to tell you what happened? Let’s just say a little afternoon delight. (cough cough)

It didn’t take place for very long. Just long enough that she could get her other dogs away (because they’re mean) and her dog off of mine. The worst part? Yeah, my kids saw it all. ‘Mom what are they doing?‘ (crickets chirping) ‘Umm..it’s ok honey Sid is just giving Princess a hug. Now go run and play!’

I didn’t worry too much about it because her dog is still kind of a puppy. Puppies can’t breed….can they? Well Sid is a little older than I thought. Last week my oldest daughter told me that Princess’ ‘boo-boos’ were really big.

DOUBLE CRAP!

 I got her down and looked at her belly. Yep! They’re getting big. We never had Princess fixed because when we first got her we thought we would breed her since she is a pure bred. But after taking her to the vet and him telling us that she is more than likely too small to have a litter and survive, we decided we wouldn’t do it.  Plus the fact that there are so many dogs out there that need homes, why bring in a bunch more? It, to me, just seems mean.

Anyway, back on topic. We are worried now that Princess may be a mommy soon, bringing me more babies into our house and what it could do to her. She is so little! Then I ask myself, if this could be why she caught, killed and ate a rabbit a couple weeks ago? Is she feeling overly territorial because she knows something is different with her? Was she overly hungry? I don’t know but what I do know is that if she is pregnant then we are going to have some damn cute puppies. I went online last night to search on dog pregnancy symptoms and the mix breed (Chihuahua with Schitzue) and this is what came up.

Awwww….how freakin cute are they? OMG how will I get rid of them? It looks like this is a new popular mix breed too. They call them Schi-Chis but I’ll call them Schihuahuas! lol So now I’m asking you all to vote in my puppy pool. Do you think she is pregnant? When we find out for sure (probably in another 2 – 3 weeks)  if she is then I will add a second poll later on and let you all vote on how many pups you think she’ll have.
