Apple Crisp Recipe
In our house when Fall arrives it’s time to pull out the old pie recipes and start baking. I don’t know why I prefer to bake in the fall but I do. Maybe it’s the holiday seasons arriving that gets me all excited for the cooking and baking. Anyway, this recipe was my great grandfathers from the early 1900s. He was a widower raising 6 girls…yes girls on his own and ended up becoming a great baker. Here is my favorite recipe of his.
(And please bear with me here. My 8 year old took these shots and wants me to use her ‘work’. lol Do I see a future photographer? lol So this will be a step by step recipe with pictures!
)
APPLE CRISP
Ingredients:
- 1 stick of butter
- 3/4 Cup of Flour
- 1 Cup of Oatmeal
- 3/4 Cup of Brown Sugar
- Cinnamon
- 5 apples
Method:
Cut up your apples
Peel your apples & sprinkle with cinnamon
Mix flour, brown sugar, oatmeal, and melted butter together.
Spray your pan with some Pam or other grease spray and throw in your cinnamon apples. Crumble the topping all over the top of your apples.
Voila, you’re done. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. And when you’re done you get this!
Share, eat, enjoy!

Wow, that looks easy enough, that even I could make it. Very nice. Darn it, now I want some.
